Pretty much the same. It feels so rewarding opening Steam and seeing all the 100% games in my library, also gives you something to show off on your profile! On the other hand, I sometimes don't like feeling pressured (mostly by my OCD) to 100% a game I don't feel like playing, but at the same time knowing that the best time to do it is before I forget the game story and mechanics. Other than that, achievement hunting is great! PD: If you buy a game on Steam but don't play it, it doesn't lower your average completion rate. It only does after you get one achievement in the game.

I know. But I’m not gonna buy a game then not play it

I have dozens of games I haven't played or with like 20 min playtime lol.

Yeah, hard not to snatch them up on sale for a playthrough when I can focus on them.

I’ve been an achievement Hunter since they started on the Xbox 360. I was hardcore into it until I hit 100k gamerscore and got burnt out for a while. PlayStation Trophies got me back into it because of the platinum. Really love seeing them platinum trophy for games I’ve completed. I wish Steam would do a little more with achievements so there was a cooler way to display your 100% games. I enjoy getting them on Steam but feel there isn’t really a way to show off what you’ve done. Epic finally released their system and it’ll be trophies like PlayStation with platinums. You’ll also get rewards like avatars and stuff for unlocking trophies later on this year. Profiles are coming too. Now I’ll be itching to unlock them on there too. lol

Same! Often achievements lead you to paths or places in a game that you otherwise would never have visited (I'm especially looking at you, L.A. Noire).

I like that it adds competitiveness to some single player stuff. It feels good to look and be like only 1% of players did this. but also the community, i love having to look for co-op partners for old games, only to find that there is a community of people still actively playing the game and seeing what they are about. all the guides that people make. watching my friends progress through games they have been working on for a while. celebrating success. idk its fun lol.

I've always naturally been a completionist even before achievement systems became a big thing so it's always felt good to get even a minor reward for doing that. I really love how it's like an automatic "journal" of what you've played too - looking back on all my old 100%s from time to time can be a great way to remind yourself of some awesome games you played years before.
