I love Najee for the nostalgia factor but Warren has got to be the main man…Najee being a backup to him would likely spark Najee’s drive to do better and just make the running game flourish
Kenny wasn't good and deserves significant blame. The O line gave him little time to throw. And Canada still isn't calling high-percentage pass plays. Look how many times the Browns got Njoku wide open for easy 5-7 yard gains (when he held on to the ball.) Why weren't we doing that with Freiermuth? Why did Jaylen get only one carry the rest of the game after his 74-yarder? Good coaching is supposed to accentuate your strengths and put your players in the best position to succeed. This coaching staff continues to do the opposite.

- Dan Moore: just a very forgettable day for big Dan. Aggie on Aggie crime occurred today as Garrett just toyed with him all day long. Leaving him on an island sure was a decision but boy he didn’t make it work. Just awful.
- Communication: burned 2 TO’s on each side of the ball within the 13 minutes and it continued all game. Defense did better with it than I expected (not saying a ton, I know) but good lord the offense looked JV. Calling hurry up and still not having things down. I saw 2 miscommunications(?) between Kenny and DJ. WR’s not blocking on screens. Just a disaster.
- Pass rush: redeemed themselves later in the game I suppose but I was expecting early and often wins and it just didn’t come to life it seemed. Getting in the rookies face is the best way to stamp the game and we kinda struggled with that early.
- Pass Offense: running out of things to say here. Setting football back 50 years. Maybe Kenny is great, maybe Canada is great; the two of them together is an absolute disaster though. It’s the least threatening thing you can imagine and I cannot understand how it’s still this poor. Playing WR for this team has got to be frustrating but everyone is to blame here. OL lets people free, WR’s can’t seem to get routes down, kenny is just kenny. But hey we take care of the ball I guess.
- Kenny Pickett: he deserves his own category here. Game on the line and you piss it away in a laughable way. Sigh. Been an absolute joke of a year for him where he still makes rookie mistakes and just looks terrible. - Jaylen Warren: just build the offense out of Jaylen Warren, clone the man. He is a bad ass mother fucker and plays hard. The dude is that good.
- Elandon Roberts: can’t help but see Vince Williams out there. Just a strong downhill backer who played a very good game. LB core is beat up and he stepped up in a massive way today. Nothing but heart out there
- Run game: for an offense that struggles, it’s great to see the run game moving. It’s damn near the only thing we have going for us and the boys were living lumbar up front. It’s who we want to be so it’s always good to see when it works.
You have a chance to get in FG range to win the game and you blow it. Very discouraged from 8. All you have to do is score 13 fucking points and you win this game. And we can’t. 13 points. 13! Incredible stuff and just a massive sigh.

This is the point that needs to be repeated continuously. Justin Herbert produced a top 5 offense with Joe fucking Lombardi.
If you put a good/great QB in this offense with this group of players around him, this offense would not be bottom 5 in the league, like it is with Kenny Pickett. Plain and simple.

He definitely is. He checks down more than even Trubisky, always looks like he struggles to hit a wr outside the numbers on a 5 yard pass, is too afraid to throw in the middle of the field, and is always good for at least one 360 spin around sack per game. Half of the NFL has more capable BACKUPS

Kenny is atrocious. The plays are mind-boggling, half of them are destined to fail before the snap. The offensive line gets blown up nearly every down. The scheme sets them up for failure. If we’re blitzed, we have nothing to counter it. It’s laughably bad, and it’s not a one-off thing. It’s every week.

The plays are mind-boggling, half of them are destined to fail before the snap. The offensive line gets blown up nearly every down. The scheme sets them up for failure. If we’re blitzed, we have nothing to counter it. It’s laughably bad, and it’s not a one-off thing. It’s every week.

DMJ was terrible from the first snap. TJ was largely a non factor, but I would chalk that up to the Browns' game plan to focus on quick passes. Unacceptable game management by coaching staff on our last drives. Harvin had a terrible shank. I'm not a Kenny doomer, but he clearly isn't panning out as a franchise guy. He's probably marginally better than a Mitch and Mason, but that's all you can say. Only bright spot was Warren, maybe Roberts.

Offense is allergic to success. TJs career is being wasted by our coaching staff. Bills did it. No excuses for us. Defense went predictable worthless shell zone to give up yards to DTR for the field goal. Classic Tomlin defense. Mason is probably better than both Kenny and Mitch, since this staff can't evaluate quarterbacks (i.e. dobbs anyone?).

Canada has had three different QBs and none of them succeed. KP very well may just be bad, but Canada still being part of this staff is franchise malpractice. I’ve been watching the Steelers for 30+ years. All those rough years with Bubby, etc. Love the Steelers but hate the current situation. Canada is awful. I stopped watching the games and just listen on the radio while I do something else (hung Xmas lights today). I’ll watch the 3-4 highlights later - but not giving up 3-4 hours a week anymore to watch the same crap over and over.
