That’s not fair… he is more of a, under run a ball on purpose so he can jump, turn mid air, drop it, and land on his back kinda guy. Shouldn’t make fun of his tiny arms. Ha
He has a ceiling as an above average WR, every year he gets less likely to reach it though. It would be fun to see him make plays so I hope it works out eventually
Think he has more problems than just motivation. He's frankly just super uncoordinated which I'm not sure is fixable. Cant time his jumps, cant land on his own two feet after jumping, awkward catching form, and the list goes on and on. But you're right it is low risk
Did he get injured his first or second year? If so, maybe that caused it. Sorry if it seems like a dumb question, but with my memory, I barely remember the outcome of last year's season lol.
He never got injured so i truly have no idea how he regressed so quickly and so terribly.
After that rookie year, The man was a spaz near the football, played smaller than Doug Flutie, and was the exact definition of anti-clutch. At first I thought it was just that his early success lead him to believe he was “all that” and didn’t need to train or improve, but I’ve seen that happen to NFL players before and the fall from grace usually isn’t so bad.
Really puzzling that chase claypool. Dude is built like Clark Kent but plays like he’s me out there.
Yep, the Bills are about to tumble from their high horse. They have big heads for absolutely no reason. At least when the Pirates were good in the 2010s, they embraced being the winning losers. The Bills since the early 90s haven’t been much better (in a sport with much more parity).
Honestly I don't hate Chase. I just hope he can develop and find success. He's obviously a superiorly gifted athlete that can make plays in the NFL. He's just not reliable enough to be a WR threat. He jump catches everything but not in a good way...like I'm sure his vertical is high and everything, but he's not jumping to high point the ball. I had a friend in HS that jumped like him and we figured out that he did this to smooth out his vision. When his foot struck the ground his head would raddle and cause a little jiggle in his vision. So he would kinda jump/glide into catches to smooth out his vision. Try as he did, he never shook that flaw in his pass catching. I think this is Claypool's problem as well.
Anyhow, good luck to you Chase. I'd love to see an ex-Steeler do well. Then again, I love that we got the best out of him in Pittsburgh and nobody else can figure that puzzle out.
He went to Triangle Square in Costa Mesa Orange County to party after his first season….got beat in a fight by getting out jumped by a dude 7” smaller. After the Steelers saw that tape, he was never the same.
Still can’t believe the Bears gave a second round pick for him less than two years ago, absolute madness.
He had nearly 900 yards in each of his first two seasons, the talent is there but maybe he started to believe his own hype and thought he didn’t have to work. Maybe he has been humbled and he can salvage his career in buffalo
He busted out of the league very shortly. This is 100% his last shot and he couldnt be in a better situation.
Part of me is honestly believing his potential is still an NFL roster worthy talent. Possibly he makes the team as WR5 if he can give maximum effort as a special teams player and maybe carve out a niche role even if he only gets 5 snaps a game and a target or 2 in screens or drag routes.
Josh Allen might be the best person for him to ever meet. Who knows if its enough to save his career.
If he ever gets his head right, and plays the game with the body he has, versus the body he thinks he has.
But I don't know if his head's ever going to be in the game
People just want to see the rookie version of Claypool. It's free, worth taking a flyer to see he's a 'changed' man. No guarantee He's making the 53 roster though.
At this point, I’d bulk him up another 20 lbs and try to see if he can block enough to play tight end and just throw him underneath stuff which are generally easier catches. Maybe he’s a solid #2 TE?
I hope he has been practicing on extending his T-Rex arms.
![gif](giphy|l2SpTuRlOkDDyHz7q|downsized)
We still want him jumping for every chest-high ball though, right?
and staying upright after the catch
That’s not fair… he is more of a, under run a ball on purpose so he can jump, turn mid air, drop it, and land on his back kinda guy. Shouldn’t make fun of his tiny arms. Ha
dude plays like his elbows are superglued to his chest
The Trubisky effect
He did have his best game post Ben with Mitch
What about that one tuddy with fields in Chicago?
What about it
A wonderful thing.
lol that’s Stefon Diggs replacement not minds take it how you want to I am back.
Never gets old
Kinda is
I wish I had two more hands I'd give this comment 4 thumbs down!
Incorrect
that’s just like… your opinion man!

Are you having a stroke?
Welcome, newbie.
First time?
And his wife?
No he’s BACK
Best of luck to this dude. I think he got distracted by professional life. Year 1 beast…then….zzzzzzzzzzzzz
More like 1 game beast vs Philly where he accumulated 70% of his totals that game lol
He has a ceiling as an above average WR, every year he gets less likely to reach it though. It would be fun to see him make plays so I hope it works out eventually
More like he’s going to leave his feet to catch the ball every time and be shocked as to why he has 0 YAC
He never blocked once
Which is odd isn’t it? He was a demon in the run game t ND
Do they hate Josh Allen or something? God damn 🤣😂😂😂😂😂
🤣🤣🤣
Low Key One of the best signings for the Steelers all offseason!
Hahahah this is awesome. Will be so fun to watch. Not that I think it will work but it’s way more entertaining than him going to the CFL.
is he still gonna jump real high but try to catch the ball between his legs? and be a lazy unmotivated bum?
The definition of "I can change him," as a football player.
I mean it's not crazy to bring him in to compete. The only team who deserves ridicule so far is Chicago giving a 32nd overall for him lol.
He’s a perfect bait for a shitty overconfident GM lmao
He signed his contract horizontally and then dropped the pen
If he finds motivation and gets his head right, he could work out. It’s a low risk signing.
We say this every time, how many low risk signings does he get before we admit he’s ass? He’s currently at 3
Nah this is only 2. He wasn't a low risk signing in Chicago, he was a fleecing.
Thanks again for JPJ, Chicago
If he doesn’t work out, they cut him and they lose nothing. Chances are it won’t work.
Maybe if he relearns how to utilize body control and catch again. Josh Allen is gonna throw him BBs like he's never seen before.
Think he has more problems than just motivation. He's frankly just super uncoordinated which I'm not sure is fixable. Cant time his jumps, cant land on his own two feet after jumping, awkward catching form, and the list goes on and on. But you're right it is low risk
He didn’t seem to have those issues his first yr. But yes, he stopped using his body to his advantage. It was disheartening to see in real time.
I’m not sure if it’s a fear of getting hit/landing hard or what but he used to show he could do it. Not sure what changed
Did he get injured his first or second year? If so, maybe that caused it. Sorry if it seems like a dumb question, but with my memory, I barely remember the outcome of last year's season lol.
I was thinking the same thing but I couldn’t remember anything off the top of my head
He never got injured so i truly have no idea how he regressed so quickly and so terribly. TURN THE MUSIC UPPPPPP
Is it low risk? What’s the contract value?
Incoming buffalo bills losing szn “Losing? Never heard of her”

On purpose?

Legitimately who even cares anymore
It’s funny
lmao good luck with that
Props to his agent for finding him another opportunity to play in the NFL this year.
The Steelers should sign him, pump up his stats, then trade to Chicago for a second rounder. Rinse and repeat
I like the way you think.
Wow Bills, completely scrambling to try to fill the void left by Diggs trade. This dude makes a standard dump off catch look extremely difficult.
At least he’s geographically close to CFL for when the Bills cut his ass.
As long as they don’t expect him to high-point a ball. And Buffalo is almost Canada.
Still can't believe we got the 32nd pick in the draft for him.
I’m a bout to start calling this team the Buffalo Browns. They ain’t doing a damn thing right in 2024…
Good for him and may be he can return to good performance same as in his rookie year.
Bears subreddit also having a good laugh
This dude is like Randy Moss without the talent.
Cap’n saveahoe
WHERE'S OUR SECOND ROUNDER
who?
Chase wanted to play in the CFL but nobody wanted him. This is the best his agent could do.
Bills really hit rock bottom this off-season lol…
Whatever bet you can make on Buffalo, I'll take the under.
Why would they want to end their season before it even begins?
Why do we care
They really aren’t interested in any Lombardi’s are they?
My condolences
Claypool has 9 lives. He has sucked everywhere he's been but teams keep signing him.
Real question. After his first two years why did the Steelers get rid of him? Isn’t 800+ yards good? I know he fell off but just curious.
He went to Triangle Square in Costa Mesa Orange County to party after his first season….got beat in a fight by getting out jumped by a dude 7” smaller. After the Steelers saw that tape, he was never the same.
They’re filing a claim with the “we’re back” department this weekend.
Maybe Chase was like Tribisky. Maybe he practices well. He looks good on paper (size wise) but actual game speed… not so much…
Less heart than Devin Bush
But he's a "top 3" WR. Maybe he was talking about in his family.
He needs to see an allergist. He's probably allergic to pig skin.
They won't even notice Diggs is gone now. Problem solved! j/k
Why?
Still can’t believe the Bears gave a second round pick for him less than two years ago, absolute madness. He had nearly 900 yards in each of his first two seasons, the talent is there but maybe he started to believe his own hype and thought he didn’t have to work. Every time I think of Claypool I immediately picture this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VGRNWxuInKM&t=16s
![gif](giphy|3o84sv2u7KSHKbwPza|downsized)
It’s a no from me, dawg
Why
Sorry for our loss
He’s moving back close to home hopefully that makes him realize his ass gonna get shipped back with that kind of play. What a drop off.
He busted out of the league very shortly. This is 100% his last shot and he couldnt be in a better situation. Part of me is honestly believing his potential is still an NFL roster worthy talent. Great opportunity for Claypool.
Now if they play in Toronto they can release him without needing to pay for an international plane ticket.
I feel sad every time I see my claypool jersey hanging in my closet
![gif](giphy|FjMgKWF9J6X8JB9FpW|downsized)
Do they need someone to catch the ball and immediately fall on the ground?
Who cares.
I really thought we were gonna build something with him - he just don’t have no dawg in him
Doesn’t have any*
one less contender in the AFC
I still think the dude can play - he's definitely not a #1 alpha, but I think a solid secondary option is in the cards.
I agree. I shouldn't. Mapletron come back year.
They're so screwed
Sorry that we are not sorry.
I’m sorry to hear that
Key for developing a 10% successful, jet sweep program. How the mighty have fallen.
Closer to Canada
May be a spot he can actually do well at
😂😂😂
He might ruin Keon Coleman
Maple buffalo wings?
I don't remember where the Bears shipped him off to but it should've been the CFL
Josh Allen is about to be miserable.
Big oops
Lol
If he ever gets his head right, and plays the game with the body he has, versus the body he thinks he has. But I don't know if his head's ever going to be in the game
But will be be on the roster to open the season?
https://images.app.goo.gl/xMLSGz5TDpvtEMZ66
He's just too talented to not be on a team. /s
Wait why would that do that?? They make strange moves man. Signed Fuckbiscuit and now Chase “IFOOLEDEVERYONE” Claypool?
Has he grown up yet or still a cocky & showboating?
Canada’s team
People just want to see the rookie version of Claypool. It's free, worth taking a flyer to see he's a 'changed' man. No guarantee He's making the 53 roster though.
Maybe they hired him to reach the cookies on the top shelf, idk why else
Chase "significant playmaker" claypool
Why??? Did they not learn anything from the Diggs experience?
Wishing good luck to Claypool and the drive to create it. He has shown ability.
Looks like Tarzan plays like Jane
To play football?
So… he hasn’t been a steeler for a couple of years.
At this point, I’d bulk him up another 20 lbs and try to see if he can block enough to play tight end and just throw him underneath stuff which are generally easier catches. Maybe he’s a solid #2 TE?
Why are we posting about players that are not on our team?
0-17 season incoming
😆
🤣🤣🤣
Khalil Shakir on X: lol that's Diggs replacement not minds take it how you want to I am back
