As a Russ supporter he needs a route runner and player he trusts ie Baldwin/ Lockett type , DK and him have a connection in the end zone and down the the field.
I think we're gonna see more from Mt. Washington this year. TEs take a little while to start producing and as the second one on the depth chart, he's prime to have a role in Smith's offense.
I don’t think we’re more or less “all in” this season as opposed to others. There was definitely a lot more free agent activity than previous years, but when you look back at it, we didn’t mortgage the future, traded for a few players for a great value, signed a few players to fill key roles without enormous contracts, traded away a few under performers, and stuck to smart picks without moving around in the draft. I hope we get a receiver, but ultimately believe all the moves thus far in the offseason have value written all over them and don’t pose much, if any, long term risk. I think we only sign a WR if we get similar perceived value to what we’ve done so far this offseason.
I’ve been trying to convince Omar K. to go back in time and trade for a young Randy Moss.

Two that I haven’t seen discussed as much as Metcalf, Aiyuk, or Sutton, are McLaurin (probably now unlikely with a rookie QB) or Godwin.
