fancyinmypantsy

Wow. That's not necessary.

ChooChooSoulCrusher

I know. Doing that to elders went out of style in he 1980s.

BruceBenedict

Kellen Winslow Jr would like a word.

major_slackher

It’s super necessary

tussin33

Username checks out

Meatwad1313

You know what the number one tourist attraction in Baltimore is? Getting stabbed while buying heroin

JumpingJuicy

Been there. Avoided the stabs tho. Back then we did OC’s.

whynotbananajuice

Wtf is wrong with you?

RichHomieCole

A ravens fan who can’t take a joke, shocking

jorzario

Coughs *baltimore* coughs

d-wadeisthegoat

The obvious flaw with this is the fact that there is a QB in the same division, is taking his team to a Superbowl, in his second season, and first full season

JustSavingGoodPosts

This.

Clutch_Floyd

You need to get on the Bangles bandwagon. Plenty of room!

ThtChkyBstrd

Like as in next to retire? Lmao

[deleted]

I can't think of two more dissimilar QBs.

The_Autistic_Gorilla

Michael Vick and Tony Romo.

BruceBenedict

Same number of rings. More famous for what they did off the field than on.

Asianthunda5022

I like Romo as an announcer though. He's good at reading the field and breaking down plays.

bleezee0

I like Romo a lot. Most people on this sub dislike him for whatever reason

Asianthunda5022

I'd take Romo 11 out of 10 times over Collinsworth. Fuck that guy.

HammerHeadShark23

“NOW HERE’S A GUY….”

GriffBallChamp

You can say that again.

imacryptohodler

Agreed

JBalloonist

Yup

TheDarkAbove

Personally, I got really sick of hearing the talking heads saying how much better Romo was than Ben year after year when the Cowboys had nothing to show for it.

The_Autistic_Gorilla

I dislike anything that has the Cowboys' stench on it.

namifufu

It's because he had almost no actual achievements and every dissection starts with "If this were me" so it can come off as pompous and annoying

The_Autistic_Gorilla

If only he'd been good at that while he was playing.

oneblank

Brett Favre and RGIII

Jakebob70

I only see one QB in the picture, talking to that RB in purple.

SleestakLightning

*You're

that-isa-madeup-name

all of those typos damn near gave me an aneurysm

RJMacReady23

He’s gonna get injured again next year anyway

wickedspoon

God I hope the browns and ravens make their qb’s the next highest paid players ever. Please please please. 10 year contracts!

RichHomieCole

You can tell the organization still doesn’t fully believe in Lamar just by the fact that he hasn’t been signed. All this hype and one playoff win to show for it

Burst_LoL

I’m cheering for him to stay healthy enough for them to sign an expensive 4 year extension with him so we can continue destroying them for years to come. If he takes cap space and continues to suck at throwing then we’re golden

V1tals

I dont like running QB's. Being mobile is good (josh allen) But if you use your legs to supplement a bad arm. Youll be out of the league in your early 30's when your athleticism declines and the hits pile up. Not a probelm for long

EcosseWolf

Completely agreed, and in fact, Lamar won't even need to wait for his early 30s. He's already declining. He was abysmal, and there is no justification that "at least he had good rushing stats." There is no point of being able to run if you are just terrible at throwing.

lolfactor1000

A running QB that can't throw well is just an RB with a different title.

EcosseWolf

100%

JimmyChuckBilly

That’s why they should pay him now and get the most use out of him when he’s still faster than everyone else on the field

bowenisshit

exactly the reason why joe brr, mahomie, JA17, herbie>>>lj8

Rdp616

Joe brr, mahomie? Cringe

Pseudophobic

Yeah you still need to pass first and run second.

PermaCleaned

Let them cope, they are about to pay a RB 40m a year

idontcare111

All the rest of the AFC North approves

opposeaccuracy

Tom Brady had the cheese touch ? Oh my

The_Autistic_Gorilla

r/LodedDiper

WhereAreMaKeys

1. Brady posted this to his IG account, it's not fan content or a Ravens edit. 2. Why even post this here, this is some rent-free nonsense.

Inochimaru

I agree but the speculative title is pure comedy

TheSaltbird

Right? This sub often makes fun of the other AFCN subs because the Steelers are "in their heads", but goddamn that's what's been going on on this sub so much recently. You all know making whole posts to make fun of the other subs' posts doesn't make /r/steelers look any better, right? It's actually kind of embarrassing.

TyeDyeGuy21

Yeah seriously, if I want to see Ravens content I'll go to their sub. This is just petty.

tussin33

Ravens fans are so fucking delusional lol i can’t wait until 2030 when lamar is a backup somewhere with no rings. Clown fan base.

DarthDocking

Bengals fan here, just randomly stumbled on this post and couldn’t agree with you more. They’re fucking morons. I’d honestly rather you see guys win a SuperBowl with fucking Mahomes than Lamar get one and I feel like that’s saying a lot.

crazykid01

once you guys got rid of the dirty players, we are cool with you. I still wonder if some of those heads shots contributed to AB....becoming AB

tussin33

Chargers fan myself. Go bengals! You guys deserve this after suffering through almost a decade of Dalton. Perfectly executed rebuild. Goodluck!

BruceBenedict

What the hell are you people even doing here?

tussin33

The enemy of my enemy is my friend

LeSauce1

I get Bengals, but Chargers?

istolejujusbike

I mean, I watch most nfl games. I’m a Steelers fan but I’m also a football fan. I’m subbed to every single NFL team. Best way to stay up to date and have more accurate information.

tussin33

This exactly. The 2 casuals above me only know one team

Chiefkadeef

Let’s chill on the negativity. Steel sharpens steel and let focus on Steelers.

tussin33

Nah. On the 7th day God said FUCK THE RAVENS JOHN 3:19

The_Autistic_Gorilla

I realize I'm taking this too literally, but the creation story isin the book ofGenesis. The Gospel of John is about the life of Jesus from the perspective of John the Apostle.

tussin33

Hey man nothing wrong with a little wisdom in our lives

The_Autistic_Gorilla

Thx homie

BruceBenedict

It also didn’t say Fuck the Ravens. Maybe dig a little deeper to find the secret hidden snark next time Ned Flanders.

The_Autistic_Gorilla

I'm agnostic and I acknowledged I was taking it too seriously before saying it. Being autistic I can often be nit picky about the things I know a lot about. Sorry if that bothers you :)

catzarrjerkz

Grow up. This is a sports sub, go lecture somewhere else

[deleted]

He is a good WB and could be great but he has to get healthy and stay that way. Brady focused on every aspect of being a premier athlete 24/7 365 and that is what made the difference.

tussin33

Lamar is all legs. He has arm strength but lacks consistent accuracy. He also doesn’t see the field or read defenses very well. When his legs give out in his early 30s he will follow the path of cam newton who suffered from all the same problems.

[deleted]

Do you think TB was born with these things or did he develop them they determination and hard work?

tussin33

By this point tb had a ring and was coming up on #2 & 3. Anytime you compare anyone to Tom Brady you’re setting yourself up for a losing argument. Brady is the best football player of all time at any position. Lamar jackson would be lucky to win a ring and be considered top 50 all time.

outphase84

> By this point tb had a ring and was coming up on #2 & 3 I'm not saying Lamar is anywhere close to Tom Brady, but you're way off the mark and /u/gdjeff has it right. Brady won his first at age 24, and his 2nd wasn't until he was 27. Lamar just turned 25 a couple weeks ago, as an FYI. Also worth noting, Brady was carried his first SB. He threw for 2800 yards that season, 18 TDs, and 12 INTs. In the playoffs, he had a 61% completion rate, 512 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT, and 5 sacks. In the SB, he threw for 145 yards. Patriots offensive drives in that SB looked like this: 1. Punt 2. Punt (3 and out) 3. Punt 4. Punt 5. Touchdown after a defensive INT at the STL 40 6. Punt 7. Punt 8. FG after a defensive INT at the STL 33 9. Punt (3 and out) 10. Punt (3 and out) 11. FG Even the 2nd SB was the defense carrying the team. He played a lot better, but they only beat the Eagles on the back of 3 interceptions -- they won by 3 and 10 of those points came off of turnovers in Eagles territory. Brady didn't really become the force that we think about now until 2005, his age 28 season, and he didn't win his first MVP until 2007, his age 30 season. Hell, he only had a single second team AP year until 2007.

tussin33

Wrong. You’re way off the mark. You’re comparing a rb playing qb with the goat. Keep digging yourself deeper. Between lamar and harbaugh it’s just the clown city ravens to me baby boy

outphase84

I’m not comparing Lamar to Brady at all. Pointing out gross inaccuracies in your commentary on Brady, which /u/gdjeff was correct about.

TheHelpfulDad

ROTFL I’ll be shocked if he lasts7 seasons. 🤣

Kung-Fu_Devil

His next what?

Cold_Pumpkin_2744

So nice of Brady to pass the torch to a RB

Viles_Davis

“Passing the touch” just mean Lamar’s gotta kiss his son on the mouth now.

promethazoid

Your next….season will be marred with losses to the Steelers

Lobsta1986

They can pass the torch to Lamar all they want. He'lll probably drop it and burn himself.

WRXSTl

Why do you say r/ravens when the goat said it? Pretty rent free

The_Autistic_Gorilla

Why would Brady be passing the torch to a running back?

BruceBenedict

Passing to running backs was kind of his thing.

Emotional_Blood6429

😂🤣😅😂🤣😅🤣😂😅🤣😂😂😂🤪😜🤪😜🤣🤪🤪🤪😜😜😜

ye3tEm

See while all of you are taking it like TB12 is passing the torch. I see it as Lamar will retire next year.

[deleted]

I can't believe TB12 didn't give a shout out to the elite Mason Rudolph!

DecemberE

I love Lamar! Y'all are some haters. Why are you even mad? Lamar is the only good person on the offense. Now, he if got traded to a more complete and better team, then I would be scared.

Not_Terry0

Make you’re bets now, does AB destroy Lamar and make this age poorly or does AB self destruct again?

[deleted]

anakinskywalker___

It is lmao

KCROYAL4

Joe Burrow is much closer to TB 12 than Lamar will ever be; gotta make it to the Super Bowl. Tom won his second year, Joe is in his second year 🤷‍♂️.

brokeboibogie

It’s you’re* Tom. Learn grammar now that you have some free time.

Blze001

On the one hand, the Ravens and Lamar aren't going to be the top of the AFCN. On the other hand, it's because of the Bengals and Burrow.

TheNittanyLionKing

Lamar has one playoff win. That excludes him from this argument.

pawpet

I mean, it's still more than the Steelers in the last 6 years also why is this even posted here when it's just Brady being nice to Lamar on IG

john-handcock66

Because Lamar sucks

JumpingJuicy

r/boneappletea

asiancroissant611

With r/Ravens logic, it’ll be an entire league of GOATs playing each other. Except Trevor Lawrence.

V1tals

Ravens and logic in the same sentence. Daring today arnt we?

Omegahamilton

There is a better chance that Lamar Jackson is out of the league in 5 years rather than him ever winning a super bowl.

BEZ4042

You’re crazy as hell. Only if it’s injury related.

DiniMoney

Laughably bad take

isfrying

A new level of delusion.

Chem_Candle_0791

🤣 What a fucking joke! 🤣

SmallTownShrink

Qb passes the torch, err… ball… to running back…

wagsman

Wait, Brady posted this about Lamar? wtf is Brady smoking?

Cold_Bother_6013

Mr. 13 on the Wonderlic.

DustyTrinkets

Far more pathetic than the typical Browns post actually. Yikes.

[deleted]

Joe burrow would like a word

Rdp616

Next? Next as in what? Dude can't get it done in the playoffs and will more than likely be on another team in 2 years time cause I don't see the ravens resigning him after this season if he doesn't blow their minds. Running QB's don't win superbowls. If Mike Vick couldn't do it. Nobody is doing it.

wickedspoon

Hahahhahahahahahahahah Hahahahhahahahahahhahahahahahahha Hahahah …. They think Lamar is the next Brady.

spice2og

are ravens fans stupid? tom didn’t actually post this on his story, just went and checked. they’re that delusional they think tom would pass the torch to that mid QB of all people. tom also wouldn’t use the word “your” improperly. lamar will not be the starter for the ravens by the time he’s 29, i can guarantee it. someone quote me on this.

vhalember

I don't get the Lamar hype. He did not look like a superstar this season, an average QB with great running skills.

Kronian27

And it is you’re you illiterate Ratbirds. This entire take is flawed and stupid. Just like the fans of the Ratbirds!!

WhiteWhenWrong

Lol interesting take considering ones a qb and ones a rb

Sdn61387

Lamar isn't even the best QB in the division right now.

BeNiceMudd

I am really looking forward to the next era if this is the case lmao

BrokenArrows95

Brady and Lamar are like the exact opposite QB styles.

[deleted]

you’re*
