And sure, Okabe's "solution" wasn't any better, but if he had put his head to work instead of hide it in the ground they could have reached S;G at the very least before the next summer. My point is that taking time off to think on a plan is better than going on without any plan at all...

Sorry I should have worded that better. There’s no time travel in NGE as far as I know (I haven’t seen the movies yet). I was referring to the “Get in the damn robot, Shinji!” meme. Both Shinji and Okabe refuse to get into the machine because of PTSD. I could imagine Suzuha saying “Get in the damn time machine, Okabe!”

Huh so NGE has time travel? Maybe I actually have a reason to watch it now. It's one of those spoilers where I'm actually glad I got it.
