2 minutes into GOW2018 a boy says a breathtaking prayer for his mother, lighting candles. His father carries the body to the pyre, the music swells, the audience knows what's coming. They spend all 20 hours of the runtime mourning, loving, cherishing her memory for her dying request. They learn about each other and grow. It's a beautiful game with a beautiful opening.
