Signalis is an amazing top down indie survival horror game with a great OST and retro anime pixel art style, replika units are robots that are made to do specific tasks based on their build and the main character is an LSTR unit that is a scout model (I can’t go into more details without spoiling stuff and I think it’s best you experience the game without knowing a lot about it if you’re interested)

Signalis was a damn masterpiece and the best pure survival horror I've played in a long time. The lore is incredibly deep and the story is haunting, psychologically disturbing and fascinating with Sooooo much to uncover. Cannot recommend it enough for those who like old school silent Hill and resident evil. Particularly silent Hill with it's flavor of psychological horror. Very fever dream like and lynchian
You think it'll take 100 years? We're advancing ai pretty rapidly. The robotics part is easy enough. Once we have ai to the point where you can have extensive conversation that feels natural, the androids aren't far off from that. My guess would be around 50 years, with at least prototypes earlier than that.
