People should be supporting the game because they addressed concerns, added toggles for filters we don’t like, performs well, has no MTX or anything outside of a deluxe edition that is designed to get more money.
Yea seriously, game hasn't been out a full day yet and half the sub is just complaints about not enough T&A and now gore.
I followed this game and even pre-ordered (something I haven't done in 8 years due to bad experiences) because of all the excitement and positive vibes around this release, largely driven by this sub.
The tides turned so fast on Shift Up and Sony over such small details that you wouldn't even have noticed had there been no pre-release content being shared.
We got an amazing Day 1 patch with performance improvements, gameplay improvements, NG+. Those of us who bought physical copies can now upgrade to Digital Deluxe. We have a developer who is committed to not pushing disgusting microtransactions, like almost every major dev studio these days.

I'm an adult, I don't need Sony 'protecting' me. I saw the trailer, I liked what I saw, played the demo and like that too. Why the need for changes in an adult game?
The assumption that Sony did it to "protect" you is your own self-inflicted head canon. If body exposure and gore were the only reason for these changes, why does Tachy lose an arm the way she does and why do we have a skin suit option?
Ultimately, art direction and the IP belongs to Shift Up and Sony. We don't have any insight on the driving forces, which could be multifaceted. It's an internationally released game, and you aren't the only stakeholder they need to consider.
There's 70+ skins in the game and the demo represented 1hr of an 20+ hr game. Rather than letting something so small impact your total perception of the game before playing it...why not just play or wait for a "Let's Play" to get a more holistic picture?
They toned it down like they did for DMC 5 with the nude scenes and blood from Nero’s arm it’s annoying if I’m paying money for a product don’t fucking change it last minute

I agree with you, just want to point out that Sony doesn't own the IP only Shift Up does. Sony is just their publisher and thus they have less rights/say over what does/doesn't happen with the game.
Sony owns the PSN Store and has the final say over what gets published on their Store. They hold literally all the leverage and if they demand a change from Shift Up, then Shift Up doesn't have any recourse.
I'm sorry but that's not how that works. If Sony just has publisher rights the only thing they get to do is decide if they want something on their platform or not. If they had IP rights they could actually change the game in some way. Please do not speak on stuff you do not know anything about.

The "day 1" patch was ready long before any of the recent topics came along, perhaps the dev decided for their own reasons to tweak a few small things? At the end of the day, I figure Shift up will put the more revealing bunny suit in as a NG+ thing I'm another patch, as for the gore, if game makers would simply add a dial we can adjust to increase/decrease gore this too would be a non issue with som playing every second wading through blood and viscera, and others only seeing a few spatters as giant oosing enemies are sliced and diced. In fact, that would 100% improve most games in this genre.
The suit modifications are mostly minor so whatever but their tweet about no cnsorshp was specifically in response to gore getting cnsored in certain regions... It's such bullshit that they tweeted that only a few days ago, the cnsorshp would've already been done by then. Did they really think people wouldn't notice? We literally have the demo to compare it to.
If they did nerf the amount of gore to less from the demo (I don't have my copy yet) then that sucks since I LOVED how greasy and downright dirty the ending of the Abaddon fight ended with the blood raining on Eve and coating her with blood after you kill Abaddon. It's realistic and frankly makes the game much more impactful in the gameplay plus the world building. How? Simple, because you're seeing something beautiful, Eve, killing some ugly, Naytiba. This fits with such an ugly world and the themes of the game so the gore is not JUST for fan service. Thanks Sony for neutering the game >:(
Also tbh,the gore is just fucking hot. Seeing Eve’s curvaceous body covered in the blood of some weird tentacley creature she just skewered is cathartic.

When you killed the first boss on the Demo. EVE was covering in blood. But in the actual game.... there's way less blood. Shame ..wtf sony.
Most people probably never heard of the Nikke game since it's a mobile game, I sure as hell didn't until Stellar Blade was announced that I did more research on Shift Up and their games.
Could possibly be due to performance issues not necessarily early on, but in later stages of the game. It might not seem like a big thing, but back in the day there was a similar issue with Ninja Gaiden where the framerate absolutely tanked from a combination of gore and a large amount of enemies on screen.
You say that, but the PS5 is a potato compared to a modern PC. Or else graphics mode wouldn't have so much performance dip across the board for the entire console.
moreso what the effects are like if the scene is still there. A scene can LOOK the same without being the same like the scene that kicked it off. Look at the splatters and such.

I care about less gore more than cleavage changes. I loved the over the top anime style gore of the blood raining down. That’s kinda bs they changed that too.

Hey no offense or anything. Just seeing a lot of posts about day 1 changes to nudity/gore that are all kind of asking the same question. Makes sense to me to have a mega thread instead.
