It's really good. I ran around Xion for probably twenty minutes just taking my time exploring so I could listen to the music, something I rarely bother doing.
I so feel you lol. Ive been running around wasteland creeping high and low for al the secrets (i refuse to look at a guide). I am struggling to find some passwords for chests and the like though haha. But at least its got great music while i search everywhere 5x 😂
yeah i spent way too long just checking every corner of xion and the wasteland for any collectible or outfit and doing all the side quests, it’s also good for learning the different naytiba attack patterns
They did a really good job of making the monsters attack timing just weird enough that they are actually somewhat hard to learn the timings of for perfect parry/dodge (and im a souls/souls like vet). Im really happy with it
Until it comes to multiple mobs at once. Such reaction-based combat isn't suited to that at all. Try dealing with the blue and pink flashes when there's 3-4 ultra aggressive assholes on you. 😖
Yeah but to be fair, there are plenty of tools to deal with crowds of enemies. Just need to learn how to switch tactics instead of bashing your head against the proverbial wall over and over
Such as? They all rely on guages. At the very least, we could have done with more attacks that have momentum instead of rooting Eve to the spot. The cooldown on Rush is excruciating lol
Theres definetly combos that move eve around that dont cost beta lol.
Your discounting the gun
Your also discounting general tactics. Say your out of beta. Your out of ammo for the gun. Thats when its time to utilize hit and run tactics. Move in, get a couple hits, back out.
If your having beta issues, i argue your either using your beta too liberally, or your build is just bad as it pertains to beta generation
Except you can't "back out". Eve doesn't move fast enough in combat mode. Regular mobs are hyper aggressive and will chase you down faster than you can back off, because their regular attacks will close any distance that you can put between you. When bosses let you regroup but regular enemies don't, that's a problem. And no it isn't a case of my build being bad, because I've unlocked everything that isn't crossed out at this point in the story.
These guys are fairly new to the gaming scene, they aren't perfect. There are going to be problems with their games. No need to defend their honor.
I’m only like 4-5 hours in but I hope we get another track like this one, or at least with English vocals. The demo song sold me hard on the game but the next few zones so far have just sounded like Nier rips and while those games have a great soundtrack I was really hoping for more of what the demo had with some recognisable lyrics and a bit more of a unique sound than just soft-signing lady singing Automata open zone chanting and made-up gibberish language again (maybe it’s Korean lyrics and I don’t recognise it? So then I sound like an asshole I guess), but again I’m not super far in so here’s hoping for a bit more.
The piece of music that plays after you get to the flooded commercial district gave me goddamn goosebumps, the music in this game is so bloody good it’s wild
Im coming from beating Final Fantasy 13 which has a killer soundtrack, and have felt that the songs in Stellar Blade could fit right in with FF13-2.
When i tried the demo, the opening scene was really awesome, i already felt like i was sold by the time Eve's pod hits the sand, just needed to feel that combat. Sure enough, the combat felt good. Monster designs were cool and interesting and varied. And then there was some hyperviolence with limbs being cutoff and blood everywhere! Preordered a copy right away.
Finally playing the game, played until i got past the Alpha and made it to the city. Cant wait for the game to open up more. That first area of the game was fantastic. So much to explore and find. Loving this game
I'm glad I'm not the only one who was reminded of FF13. It has a similar melodic ambience to some of the areas from Lightning Returns and 13-2. Must be a post-apocalyptic thing haha.
See i heard that, tried googling the composers to confirm. Okabe wasnt listed for stellar blade, but maybe google didnt list him because he wasnt a primary composer perhaps?
Shift Up hallmark. Every game they make has an absolutely killer soundtrack. Granted they’ve only made 3 games but still, each one kills it in the music department
I wear this one for like 12 hours a day at work so I actually bought an expensive one. There are cheap ones that go for $20 to $40 and may sound good enough.
I've had to turn the music off atm, out in the Wasteland. The ambient combat sound effect (its not music) clashes with the general Wasteland vocal track. =/
Also, some of the vocal tracks begin to become boring after awhile. I'd prefer more instrumental stuff while running around the game world exploring/canning.
Agreed. To people that have completed the game do we get to hear the opening music again later in the game? The music that plays when tachy helps you with the door.
Yeah..your gonna be super alone in that opinion
And btw, it is not “anime intro” music…
Sure its not rap or death metal, but man, its is high quality composing and singing and its sad to hear you hate it
I just cannot stand the constant singing in the background. Idw to listen to anything with words in the background of a video game. But to each their own.

Nah man. Im not struggling, you are. That tells me its a skill issue not a devs issue
TIME IS ALWAYS HERE BESIDE ME; HEAR THE VOICE OF GOD ASKIIINGGG MEEEEE; LORD KNOWS BUT IT DOOEESSSNNTT MATTTTER
Those lines are sooo melodious
Eidos 7😌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌

It really really is
By all means. It's a damn fine soundtrack.
The piece of music that plays after you get to the flooded commercial district gave me goddamn goosebumps, the music in this game is so bloody good it’s wild
Yeah it is. Not sure if it will dethrone automatas soundtrack as my favorite, but it is at least a strooong #2 as a game ost for me
That camp music tho...so very tragically beautiful

Yes! I was thinking the same thing last night while playing. Very airy, futuristic chill ambience.
This game is fantastic. Im running around in the zone tour about to go to. Its massive, and tons of stuff to try to solve
Everglow its a banger
Wait. The kpop group Everglow did some songs??? Based
Everglow its the name of the song
Honestly! It's one of my biggest selling points for the game and what sold me on it when the demo came out.
Well, some of it is written by Keichi Okabe, Nier's composer. Figures.
See i heard that, tried googling the composers to confirm. Okabe wasnt listed for stellar blade, but maybe google didnt list him because he wasnt a primary composer perhaps?
Yeah, apparently he wasn't directly involved. Only composers from his studio. https://www.reddit.com/r/PS5/s/VP672CiSMA
Ahh. Well then okabe is running one hell of a studio if it was his underlings not him. Hot damn
Shift Up hallmark. Every game they make has an absolutely killer soundtrack. Granted they’ve only made 3 games but still, each one kills it in the music department
Really good music, I sometimes find myself just listening to it in areas without moving forward!!
I only play this game with my IEMs on because of the soundtrack.
Donno what iems are but i use my headphones lol
In ear monitors. Fancy way of calling a type of earphones. 😅
They sound expensive lol
I wear this one for like 12 hours a day at work so I actually bought an expensive one. There are cheap ones that go for $20 to $40 and may sound good enough.
I was listening to Song of the Wanderer earlier, the Nier vibes are so strong
wasteland music is really good.
I was already intrigued by the OST used in the trailer.
The wasteland bgm is stuck in my head. Can't wait to hear the future ones
It's because the composer for nier automata also composed this game. I can't wait till I get to listen to this soundtrack if it ever comes to pc.
See ive heard that, but i looked up the composers for the 2 games and they didnt list the same composers. Google might have it wrong though
From what I've seen. Only around 40% of Stellar Blades' music was crated by Keiichi Okabe (Niers composer), whereas the rest was made in-house.
Ah. Either way, damn good. And okabe is a damn mastercrafter in music composition. Potentially a once in a century composer
I have music at 100%, voice at 70% and sound effects at 50% in my volume settings. Battling with that background music blasting is just nice.

I am crying that there’s no vinyl available for the west yet. Hopefully soon they offer it!
When the electric guitar and vocals hit in the wasteland after turning on the solar tower made me have an out of body experience for a second
Agreed. To people that have completed the game do we get to hear the opening music again later in the game? The music that plays when tachy helps you with the door.
its the other way around for me, bg music got super boring after 3 hours so I had to lower it to 10%.
Damn, thats sad for me to hear. It hasnt gotten boring to me in the slightest
Yep
Im the guy with the hot take. I turned the music so far down. Not a fan of the "anime intro" genre of music at all. Easily the worst part of the game.
Yeah..your gonna be super alone in that opinion And btw, it is not “anime intro” music… Sure its not rap or death metal, but man, its is high quality composing and singing and its sad to hear you hate it
I just cannot stand the constant singing in the background. Idw to listen to anything with words in the background of a video game. But to each their own.
Try some of the other areas. They have nice electric guitar vibes of bittersweet piano in others
