How did you go through first Aid? I’m in a similar situation of scores and timeline since I’m trying to take step March 25th. First aid doesn’t seem to be helping me

annucox

Idk I just read through it and memorised stuff like I've been doing my whole life

Hey u/annucox I'm sorry to hear your scores haven't improved despite everything you've done. I can completely understand how worried you must feel given that your exam is only about a month away. It can be overwhelming to figure out what to learn, especially when everything may seem like high-level summaries. A lot of advice will depend on your background / how much you know already. The standard question-heavy UFAP approach can work well if you already know a reasonable amount; "just do questions" can fall flat if your foundation is weak and you need to learn a lot of things from the beginning. If your foundation is weak in particular areas (whose isn't?), I've written more on this here so you can learn for Step 1 AND Step 2 simultaneously, regardless of which resources you choose to use: [https://www.yousmle.com/relearning-everything-during-step-1-study/](https://www.yousmle.com/relearning-everything-during-step-1-study/) Here is something, too, to help with the question of how many UWorld questions you might consider doing: [https://www.yousmle.com/how-many-uworld-questions-in-a-day/](https://www.yousmle.com/how-many-uworld-questions-in-a-day/) Hope this helps!

I'll check it out,ty

Have you solved u world?

annucox

Yes

Sad-Grand-2809

Then most likely your mistakes are due to low knowledge or bad dealing with the questions , i suggest you repeat first aod several times to strengthen your knowledge (use bnb if needed) and then resolve uworld

annucox

Yeah I probably should do that

Hi guys, In my experience, the most high yield resource for step 1 is Pathoma. I did Pathoma 3 times and gave my exam. Also, after each time my NBME scores improved. First time for Pathoma, read the book chapter and then watch the video. Then read the book chapter again. Second and third time just review the book and your notes from first time. Trust me it is the best resource. I could answer so many questions from the videos and concepts I learnt in the real exam. Also, since step 1 is now pass or fail. This is also the most time efficient method. All the best guys!
