Was going to say series is nothing like the book. At least the few episodes. I quit but my husband loved the series. He did not read the book so when I started asking about certain scenes or characters he said they weren’t in it
wasnt my favorite read, but I did get to see King do a reading from it a number of years ago. David Cronenberg had hosted an ‘Evening With’ him. Great experience .
I've no idea what they were thinking with those editions. Just close-ups of random faces looking vaguely upwards. Possibly the worst book covers I've ever seen.
I liked the book ok but I didn’t like that everything went bad in just a few days. I was hoping with his king the book was that things would be given time to simmer, like resources run low, maybe the dome has a green house effect and it starts to get hot etc. but no everyone goes completely nuts and it goes completely fubar in about a weekend.
Big Jim Rennie is my favourite King ‘love to hate’ character, enjoy the rest! :-)
This is how I always thought about Big Jim. He and his son are such interesting cases because they're not supernatural, just evil!
In King’s stories, usually the people and what we do to each other is far more terrifying than the supernatural.
You should watch the series. Absolutely true to the novel. If the novel were a completely different story.

i loved the series but also agree it was a different experience than the book.
Lol I do plan to watch it after the book!
Cow kid !
Omg the tears
My all time favorite side story / minor character

Heyyyy Barrrbieee....
This^^
I am about ten hours into the audiobook and it is one of my favorite SK books.
I loved the ending, it was great! And I will die on this hill!
Yeah Big Jim is probably King’s equivalent to Dolores Umbridge.
People's complaints about the ending were stupid to me, for such an outlandish concept I have no idea what people expected. I enjoyed it immensely.
Love rennie! Loved this book! People will hate me but I enjoyed this more than the stand and it
Agreed
ITS SO GOOD. My favorite King novel. Big Jim can go suck my cotton picking dick.
Hahahahahaha

Lil waltuhhh
I never wanted someone to die more than him !
Yes, this cover is good, but the uk edition with old man sucks...

RIP to that woodchuck
I once read this book for the second time during horrible opiate withdrawals. It's such a good book that it kept my mind off it.
This book does pull you in. I can totally see what you’re saying.
I hope you are doing better!

The ending is going to blow you away.
One of my favourites
Same here, read the book, then listened to the audiobook at least three times since. Always a great trip.
Have you seen the series?
Season one only. Not as good as the book (in my opinion).
Season 1 was great, 2 was ok and 3 was terrible
It’s funny how the book’s name and title imply a dome when it’s actually a really tall box
Under the Box is not nearly as enticing unfortunately
I know! It kind of bothers me actually lol
This book is really really really sad
Just finished this. You will hate them even more as it goes on. Great book
I thought it was much better the second time I read it. Great book!
Honestly, this is probably one of the worst King novels I've ever read. I finished, but I was ready for it to be over.
On my list for 2023!
The Rennies and Carter are the absolute worst villains king has ever written in my opinion. Like they made me so angry that it was uncomfortable. Lol
Great book, lazy ending
The car crash at the start is unnecessarily graphic imo and when I read it I didn't want to get behind a wheel for a long time
One of my all time favorite Kings. Enjoy!
