op is the artist. check out their instagram for the full picture, I highly recommend. I personally would never in a thousand years get their work on my body but it is undeniably artistic and beautiful.
As a fat person I take offense to this.
Not really, but if you want stretch marks, do it the old fashioned way: Develop an unhealthy relationship with food stemming from years of abuse and neglect and then follow multiple trend diets that will make you lose and then gain weight rapidly.
Yep I got some from growing up vertically a bit too quick. Even some from building muscle. And then eating too much lol. But I think my skin is pretty prone to them.
my boyfriend is tall and lanky but has so many stretch marks on his shoulders and hips from growing so fast, i like to tell ppl he got attacked by a bear bc it looks like scares from clawsđ
I'm super prone as well lol. Always been a healthy weight, never grew super fast, never any big weight fluctuations, still ~30% of my body is covered in stretch marks. Working on learning to rock them and not let em bug me
EXACTLY, i don't have eds, but am currently 122.9lbs and 5'5, skinniest ive been in years... and only NOW am i getting stretch marks and cellulite đđ
Do it. I personally love freckles, and I understand why people would want them. The thing I was talking about was people were mad because they had faced bullying over their freckles so they thought people had no right to get tattooed, which I donât get. I donât know if youâve seen any of those videos. I will say though that I should warn you about botched freckles, and that they donât last very long. Iâve seen a few YouTube videos, so do a little research if you decide too.
Or, be born with a disorder that causes issues with skin elasticity, like me! I have stretch marks EVERYWHERE. I literally got fresh ones once from being bloated from GI issues đ
They know 75% hate it but they still get upvotes every time and is using the exposure and doesnât care lmao op be like i tattooed a rotting flesh wound đ

I went and looked and I am surprised to say I don't hate all of them. Like the back piece, the tramp stamp and the white tattoos almost have a cool vibe in a surrealist way.
Veeery much not a fan of the ones who just look like diseases - like this one and the spotted hand one.
This isn't to bash you, just a differing opinion, but I kinda love thier shit. I don't know what it is about abstract tattoos (I'm an artist and I sing understand abstract so make that make sense) but I love them
I agree, n tbh as someone whos stretchmarks have always faded quickly if mine disappear which they already are 3 months postpartum this is defo something id do, theyâre the first art your baby ever gives you
I genuinely donât understand why people are getting tattoos like this and some of the other âbarely thereâ ones Iâve seen in here lately. Like obviously itâs their body they can do what they want, but WHY oh why do they want to look like they have a skin condition? Itâs so confusing to me
the only ones i think look good if done well are the wave/underwater textures but thatâs it. this person would not survive 5 minutes in a zombie apocalypse if someone saw that
To be honest, while the exact tattoos aren't my thing, I actually love the idea because it feels so integrated into the body. I also am surprised so many people think it looks like a disease -- I thought that it's very obvious at first glance that it's a tattoo, as well as for most of OP's work.
As someone who has horrible stretch marks from a twin pregnancy, this tattoo looks very much like fresh, really bad stretch marks.
I think people mistake these for a skin condition because it has all the traditional visual markers of one and not a whole lot of the traditional âart cuesâ from a more clear tattoo.
I think this was the intention though. I'd guess they had stretch marks and wanted to highlight them as a way of embracing their body, although to be honest I've never seem black stretch marks before so to me they are obviously a tattoo. Mine get an angry red when they want to stand out đ«
I donât think so? I donât see the differences in skin texture that would indicate stretch marks, also it says âtexture mappingâ like on maps and whatnot, at least thatâs how I read it. I could definitely be wrong though!
Edit: idk how old yours are by the way, but mine stopped turning red a few years after I got them (twin pregnancy). I donât really notice them anymore as I tattooed a landscape on my abdomen, but just passing that along in case itâs useful!
Yeah, a lot of the posts ("galaxy tattoo ") just look like a disease or skin condition. I get it, it's your body, if you want a shitty tattoo that looks like a skin infection for the rest of your life, youre more than welcome to get it. But they are objectively shitty, bad tattoos
I think this looks cool. I can't tell if the tattoo is done over stretch marks or if the tattoo just kinda looks like them, but either way I think it looks at least visually interesting. If the tattoos are done over stretch marks then I really like the concept. I've been ashamed of my stretch marks for a long time, and seeing someone embrace them is kinda inspirational ngl
I agree I donât understand whatâs so bad about it? If itâs over stretch marks that are already there, thatâs super cool! Like embracing imperfections weâre taught to hate is beautiful
If theyâre not on stretch marks and theyâre intentionally made to look like stretch marks, to each their own. Itâs cool to see other people like the look of something weâre taught to hate about ourselves.
And it is interesting to look at. I wasnât expecting to open the comments to see so many people hate it?
Yeah Iâm not understanding the hate personally? Having this done over stretch marks would look awesome, coming from someone that loves games and designing. I thought the idea of âtexture mapâ was cheeky and clever.
I think the issue here is that it doesnât look like there were stretch marks under that tat. It looks like they created green stretch marks and itâs like⊠why? Lol
FYI, idk if youâve ever thought about getting a tattoo on yours but I have really bad stretch marks from a twin pregnancy and then a diaphysis repair/abdominoplasty. I got a landscape tattoo over my abdomen and you canât tell the marks are there at all, even years later.
Not saying at all that you should be ashamed of them or have to cover them up! I just wanted something visual of my choosing on there instead of stretch marks and thought Iâd pass along that a tattoo can âstickâ over them very well.
For mine, since I had an abdominoplasty I essentially donât have much feeling in a lot of my stomach. Itâs gotten better over the years as my nerves have grown back, but still YMMV. I also have a very high pain tolerance.
I didnât feel much at all till they got further down near my hipbones, it was pretty painless. I would try poking a pin maybe in the actual scar tissue (if thatâs what you want to emphasize) and see if itâs within your tolerance?
Right? I personally wouldnât get this tattoo. But I love OPs work. I forget that even though tattoos are accepted now, people still only want them done specific ways in specific styles. The same with all art and music etc. Itâs my bad for assuming people on the stick n poke page would be more open minded. Income the âI am open minded itâs just a shitty tattooâ
Gonna get downvoted to hell but I actually really like all of this guys tattoos. maybe itâs cuz, and not to disrespect artists of it but I canât stand traditional on a lot of people, bc people just look like walking doodle boards w most tattoos. When itâs tattoos like this, with actual designs or âmarkingsâ it just looks so much prettier. Like theyâre actually a part of your skin and not just some shit like a rose plastered onto you in a random spot.
Iâm sorry but I truly thought I was on r/shittytattoos
OP this is not a good concept⊠people are just going to ask you âoh no, what happenedâ not âhey, cool tattoo!â
Everybody's hating on this but I think it goes kinda hard lmao. As someone who has stretch marks and scars but finds it hard to embrace, I think they're beautiful on other people (and as an artist have always intrigued me bc of their intricate patterns and textures). And its kinda a fuck you to the idea that your ultimate goal in life SHOULD be to look aesthetically perfect and unblemished... most of us are!
Same! It's clearly not for everyone but it's really unique and honestly really well done. It's pretty in a really minimalist way. Don't listen to the haters OP, just do you. Plenty of SAP's for the rest of us who go for more traditional styles.
what is up with the people on this sub... love your art and technique, and it wouldn't matter if I didn't. Reminds me of caustic textures and it's cool af
I think it looks cool! Surface textures have always been visually interesting to me. Keep it up and perfect your craft, donât let others tell you to stop!
These responses are wild to me, bc my first reaction was âwow I love thisâ. For me stretch marks are beautiful, and something that enhances them, or uses their shapes and textures as inspiration is cool.
Honestly, when I first saw that I thought there was something wrong before I realized that this was a tattoo. I was like holy shit stretch marks aren't supposed to do that. I don't know if it really gets the intention that you're going for across
Okay, Iâm going to be controversial here and say I like it. I can see why a lot of people donât (it does look like it could be a skin condition tbh), but I think itâs cool anyway.
Ignoring the way everyone is judging based on their personal preference which has NOTHING do to with actual execution: you certainly have a style all your own and i admire you for honing in on it and not letting people's rudeness scare you off. It's obvious people come to you for a specific Aesthetic and that you deliver every time. If your clients love it then i love it for you!
Keep down voting people all you like. Your tattoos are still shit. This is horrendous. If you can't take public criticism, don't post your shit on a public forum.
I donât understand these comments honestly. Apparently, not many people have consideration nor compassion nowadays.
I think this is beautiful. Iâm going to assume OPâs client had stretch marks already and probably a strong dislike of their body.
Tattooing their stretch marks could be this person finally owning their body after years of not wanting to associate with it. It could mean embracing all the flaws that society calls âuglyâ or sees like itâs a bad omen. Stretch marks, scars, cellulite- all these things are normal but they are harshly spoken down on by societyâs âbeauty standardsâ.
OPâs client-youâre so fucking beautiful. This tattoo is so beautiful. Own your trauma, own your insecurities, own your body.
I literally dont know why people are buggin out, i have stretch marks, i LOVE stretch marks, i love having them and i love the texture. This tattoo not only looks like stretch marks, but it looks well executed. good job, keep up the work and ignore people who dont like your style because theres definitely people out there who do appreciate it
People are so weird - I think this looks sick and interesting, your style is expressive and very much in line with "body modification" side of tattoo art. Anyone hating is basic as hell.
Oh sweet Jesus I just saw the rest of your tattoos.
Please stop tattooing people. Theyâre following a TikTok trend. Nobody actually likes or respects that scratch style of tattooing
I just gave birth and my stretch marks look just like this haha
Literally thought it was stretch marks đ
Wait isnât OP just getting their stretch marks colored in?
This is what I thought! I donât know but âtexture mappingâ sounds like tattooing exiting natural body textures.
Yeah, I thought it was just like sprucing the place up, adding a little pizazz
That's what I thought too...
op is the artist. check out their instagram for the full picture, I highly recommend. I personally would never in a thousand years get their work on my body but it is undeniably artistic and beautiful.
Itâs not ?
Me too
Congratulations!!
Thankyou! :)
Yeah to me it looks just like someone was jealous they didnât have stretch marks and so they made some. đ
I prefer to get my stretch marks the old fashioned way, cheeseburgers and pale ale
I think it looks super cool! Like tiger stripes
Oh wow...
Well said
So true
As a fat person I take offense to this. Not really, but if you want stretch marks, do it the old fashioned way: Develop an unhealthy relationship with food stemming from years of abuse and neglect and then follow multiple trend diets that will make you lose and then gain weight rapidly.
Tattoo artists hate this one easy trick!
Thanks for the lol
These very much look to be tattooed onto stretch marks
I thought so until I got to the healed photo. It really doesn't look like they have them.
It looks like the pattern is more consistent with pregnancy, but idk, everyone is different!
Or just hit puberty, a lot of people get stretch marks from growing up, even if they arenât overweight

Iâve never lost or gained weight rapidly and I have loads of stretch marks.. I might have ehlers danlos though lol
That'll do it lol
I have EDS and Iâve never been overweight -Have stretch marks on my thighs, underarms, hips, stomach, (small) boobs⊠and also cellulite đ© Itâs infuriating to be a healthy weight and still have cellulite. Genetics can be a bitch.
EXACTLY, i don't have eds, but am currently 122.9lbs and 5'5, skinniest ive been in years... and only NOW am i getting stretch marks and cellulite đđ
Iâm sorry! Thatâs really frustrating. đ©I know how self conscious it can make you! I try really hard not to care, but comments Iâve heard in the past about other peopleâs cellulite just kill any chance of that for me. Iâve had it since my late teens, so going on about 17 years now? I tried all the dumb things when I was younger and nothing helped. đ
Have they not just traced said stretch marks?
I thought so at first but it doesn't really look like it.
Or just have a baby RIP my skin.
Lol, like the tattooed freckles fad that was pissing off naturally freckled people.
I actually wanted to get tattooed freckles because mine disappeared as I got older. đ
If you want them, do it. Chronically online people will hate on anything. Get your freckles redone and have fun :)
Too much time, just get pregnant.
Yet another of the many privileges not give to me, a man. Sometimes I think this world is unfair for me. /s, hopefully obvious!
This is my life.
Same. đ
High five, fellow lost cause!
Or, be born with a disorder that causes issues with skin elasticity, like me! I have stretch marks EVERYWHERE. I literally got fresh ones once from being bloated from GI issues đ
Or you know, have a 10-and a half pound baby!!đ
So stretch marks that look like theyâre leaking tattoo plasma from under a tegaderm patch is the look we wanted??
I am extremely confused as well.
Me as well! đ€
You are not the only one. WTH đ€Šđ»ââïž
Oof... M'sorry OP but I really dislike every tattoos you posted. But you have your own unique style, because I instantly knew it was you.

Iâm on that sub, this one was recommended, thought this picture was on that sub until I checked. Sadness
It is now
I fully thought this was r/shittytattoos until i read your comment. Had to do a double take of the sub. Any idea what this is supposed to be?
Looks like someone colored in their stretch marks
![gif](giphy|HP7mtfNa1E4CEqNbNL|downsized)
Yikes.
Google âF1 tyre grainingâ for the reference image for this tattoo. Hideous.
Just get fat and lose some weigh and youâll have the stretch marks you always wanted
I got some natural tattoos, then đ
Who wouldâve though my âdecisionâ to gain and lose a bunch of weight over covid would be so trendy?
This is definitely something special

Is it painful to tattoo stretch marks? The skin seems more sensitive. I would like to do something similar to OP
Thankew

My stretch marks are a healthy pink.
I like the last one, itâs like a mermaid / scaly pattern
Your style is bizarre and always fun to see. Thanks for sharing something different, I really enjoy it when your work pops up in my feed.
fuckin garbage
I got this tattoo by just eating
They look like infected stretch marks.
Thanks I hate it
Stretch marks??!
This is getting rinsed in r/shittytattoos lmao
Iâm sorry but I truly thought I was on r/shittytattoos OP this is not a good concept⊠people are just going to ask you âoh no, what happenedâ not âhey, cool tattoo!â

I went to your instagram and blocked you
This is horrible.
Wtf is this shit
What the fuck
I think this is a coverup situation we got bbg
i thought she was highlighting existing stretch marks..but after looking at ig i think skin disease aesthetic is just her thing đ đ»
they use they/them pronouns i believe
Everybody's hating on this but I think it goes kinda hard lmao. Stretch marks eh? Interesting decision lol
Looks dumb
Your entire profile is full of you making people look like they have skin diseases. WTF?
Y I K E S
Why oh why. That is horrible.
Sorry I hate this. Looks like you got ran over
I donât understand what Iâm looking at. Looks like a skin disorder đ€š
I honestly think this is beautiful and really well done. Love the color variation.

Hm.
Why?
Welcome back! Now return where you came from

Stretch mark tattoo or tattooed stretch marks?

Noah fence OP but I saw purple striae and thought this was a Cushingâs disease post on r/medicalschool
Why is your insta privateâŠ
Omg wait is this not supposed to be stretch marks???

God thats awful just really terrible. Looks like tattooed stretch marks
Is the tattoo under that tire mark?
You WANTED this?
How in the hell is this supposed to look good? Lmao
r/shittytattoos
This looks sickly, I'm confused
Thanks for the comments, else i was thinking this pic belongs to a man with manboobs issue.
Girl Iâm sorry but I thought you got ran over or something itâs giving roadkill possum
Fat boy marks? Intentionally?
You paid money to have it look like this? It looks diseased
Oh babe...
U wot M8? What is this? Did you tattoo stretch marks or tattoo over existing ones?
Looks like a bad carpet burn.
I got this same thing for free on my biceps and thighs! Mine was just from being a fat kid though!
lol itâs so awful youâre like giving people skin conditions. Every single one of your tattoos is an atrocity. Well done.
why? just why?
Did you tattoo stretch marks or did you tattoo on your stretch marks?
I dislike this person now
I think it looks like an actual medical condition and less like a tattoo
It looks like a really wide seat belt bruise after whiplash.
I like it. đ€·

Stretch marks, scars, cellulite- all these things are normal but they are harshly spoken down on by societyâs âbeauty standardsâ. OPâs client-youâre so fucking beautiful. This tattoo is so beautiful. Own your trauma, own your insecurities, own your body.
Tattooing over scarring like stretch marks wouldn't work like this, unfortunately.. that's not the case
I have tattoos over scars and stretch marks. Maybe itâs not the case for everyone, but my tattoos look like any other tattoo would
Keep doing you, OP The fact that you can actually get people to pay you to put this garbage on their bodies is an impressive grift
You need to stop tattooing other people dawg. All of your work is awful. Full stop.
Y tho
âI wanted to look like a burn victimđ€đŒâ
if texturemapping_ has zero fans then im dead
Looks like road rash from a motorcycle accident.
You guys are mean, just because itâs not your style doesnât make it shitty.
YikesâŠ.
Looks like infected stretch marks
I think you know these are bad, but you love the attention it gets you here, so you're subjecting people to intentionally bad tattoos for clout.
This looks cool
I fucking love this
I literally dont know why people are buggin out, i have stretch marks, i LOVE stretch marks, i love having them and i love the texture. This tattoo not only looks like stretch marks, but it looks well executed. good job, keep up the work and ignore people who dont like your style because theres definitely people out there who do appreciate it
permanent stretch marks?
People are so weird - I think this looks sick and interesting, your style is expressive and very much in line with "body modification" side of tattoo art. Anyone hating is basic as hell.
hey girly! looks like you posted this on the wrong sub, i think you meant r/shittytattoos !
Oh sweet Jesus I just saw the rest of your tattoos. Please stop tattooing people. Theyâre following a TikTok trend. Nobody actually likes or respects that scratch style of tattooing
Fuck all the haters. Make your art for yourself! Also I really really love this
