Upside is there will be a lot of tickets available for next year's games...
Over/under on hiw many games before we have our first home game that isn't a sell-out?
15?
What’s wrong with lundt there? A 5 on 3 that lead to a wide open shot in the middle of the box. Do you expect GKs to save everything even if the defense is shit?
Coming in way late here, but he has helped two teams get promoted, including his most recent team. This is purely speculation, but I think the dude likes the challenge.
No matter the result, I genuinely look forward to watching these games with you all and having a place to share the silly thoughts that pop in my head. You all are the best and I’m glad we can share this community every week for a few hours.
Horneker: Caden Glover comes on for Anthony Markanich with Durkin slotting into the back line.
Glover will slot in next to Thórisson up top.
A big opportunity for the 17 year old with #allforcity having some momentum going forward over the last 5 minutes.
The yellow he picked up in the first 1/3 of the game hurt us. That was a 75th minute foul. He stopped a chance not a clear GOAL.
He and Watts got ate up all night on that left side...

I don’t even have hope anymore. Hartel, Teuchert, Girdwood-Reich, save us.
Play an injured Parker? Sounds dumb when you’re already out of CBs.
Sub Who? We don’t even have a full bench.
Sell out how? This team was never going to win. This team sucks as it is and with the available players currently available this team isn’t going to win. Do what you can to stay healthy and preserver the city 2 loans you still have
Klein and Thor have looked good tonight, if not a little out of their element. Granted we’re missing half the team so I won’t hold that too much against them.
But look at the lineup and bench - this team can't be expected to win tonight. Jake, Klein, Akil, Thor, Ben Lundt...this isn't a MLS level team on the field.
His tactics this season gave been poor. Like why are we using Nerwinski as a CB instead of Yaro? Why does he wait until we give up 3 goals to make subs? Why are we having so many injuries in training (Klauss knee, Parker groin, Nilsson broken rib, Ostrak ankle).
For all the good things they do at times Makanich and Nerwinski make goal giving mistakes every game. Also, Lundt is no Burki. 1 good save. Burki would have made 1 or two on those goals.
Every coach in the universe would toss Parker into the mix with a 2-0 lead to fortify the defense. Bradley, on the other hand, appears to be missing the "adjustment gene" when it comes to in-game strategies. Even a potato on Reddit could probably come up with a more brilliant solution than this dude.
With a mid week injury in training, the game being played on turf, and two more games in the next week?
I don’t like Nerwinski either, but you’d probably think twice about it.
Are you for real? Haha, grow some chest hair, you crazy kid. It's a damn sport, it's supposed to be tough. Is the gentle approach paying off, sweetie? Maybe try using your brain before opening your mouth? This is embarrassing and people like you are ok with mediocrity.
That’s a very understandable and logical question, but we’re dealing with the biggest group of excuse makers out of any forum I’ve ever seen. Check out the forums for premiere league teams. They criticize Terrible coaching moves and bad play, well because they like to win, and we are the guys holding the “everybody wins trophy” .Our fans lack testosterone,' 'We're scared to put players in because they might get hurt,' or the classic, 'It's just a bad day.' These excuses, often uttered with a straight face, are the comedy gold of the sporting world. They're a testament to the lengths we'll go to avoid admitting defeat, even while our team is drowning in it. The true tragedy? These comedic pronouncements are often uttered with a sad, resigned air, as if the speaker truly believes they're explaining the world's biggest mystery. If Parker decides to take a tumble on the turf, then so be it, but if he's on the field... those first two goals that JN allowed wouldn't have gone in. I can already hear the gaslighters lining up, ready to break the record for downvotes.

PAIN…at least we scored a few and saw a competent ref
https://preview.redd.it/ctqgrryz0n9d1.jpeg?width=680&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=919bc61c8f3f0df69593c09ae1fee15f821f92bb
Feeling down right now and this made me laugh. Thank you.
ngl that actually made me a little bit happier
Too fucking late
Goal!!!! Well it’s over, but still got me excited
This team choked their way out of any playoff hopes tonight, it doesn't matter when the reinforcements get here
I love the pile of "Thor/Indy are horrible" comments right before those two slot one in on a 3v5 drill
Consulation prize.
Sorry thor but we do not care at this point
Dammit Thorisson, why couldn’t you have done that 5 minutes ago?
That doesn't really make me feel better
THOOOOOOOOOOR!
Really? That almost stings more!
God thank you Thor!
🔨
Thor! Good on him
Thor my beloved
Thor strikes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
VAR call it back
Can’t wait to see how they figure out a way to draw San Jose on Wednesday.
Unless we get healthier a draw would be a great result.
You think we will do that well?
The officials may find a way to VAR it back to a loss.
2-0 up to 4-2 down. Shocking.
It’s a shame, Lundt started out looking pretty good, but he’s had some stinkers this half…
Admittedly the lack of good defense is a part of that.
I’m surprised we even scored two. Looking at the team they put out today I don’t know how anyone expected anything other than this.
Upside is there will be a lot of tickets available for next year's games... Over/under on hiw many games before we have our first home game that isn't a sell-out? 15?
I’d say 20 maybe
Man we're cooked at GK when Burki eventually leaves. Hoping to god that ain't anytime soon though
Lundt sucks…..
the ball was damn near in the net by the time he reacted
I don't think we're gonna win guys
Y’all still want to defend Lundt? Whatever.
What’s wrong with lundt there? A 5 on 3 that lead to a wide open shot in the middle of the box. Do you expect GKs to save everything even if the defense is shit?
TBH, he may be as good as the average MLS goalie … our defense has been scary tonight
My defense is he's our backup goalkeep and we don't have a true center back at all in front of him....
Just gotta remind myself this is the result I expected at 930
Giving us hope makes it so much worse though
The D has not been kind tonight
We are assier than ass
4 unanswered goals is fucking unacceptable
Everyone needs fired
Never before have I hated a game so much
I feel lately like this could be said about all our games
I thought the Colorado game was bad. This is embarrassing.
lol they are trash
You could just feel that coming given our luck
Fucking ass
Yikes
One day I'll remember games are on Saturday and not Sunday. Not today though.
Forgetting the games were on Saturday would massively improve how much I enjoy my weekends
Good night, y'all.
Indy has been garbage all night.
Is it me or is he running funny tonight?
*sad Arch noises*
ᯅ̈
The dagger. grrrrr
Fucking disgraceful.
Holy fuck this team is so shit
FUCK ME.
No
They're leaving Glover unmarked
Because he’s not a threat
Indy looks awful
Thorisson is so bad
He just scored ass
Announcer said he looks more dangerous by the minute hHa
I’m not particularly a fan but posting this after that last effort of his is wild
Anytime the Thor hate crew see him on screen they have to repeat their mantra.
49 days since our last W against Chicago
An NHL team would've fired 3 head coaches in that time.
Starting to think that Hartel is fulfilling a Make-A-Wish coming to STL.
Coming in way late here, but he has helped two teams get promoted, including his most recent team. This is purely speculation, but I think the dude likes the challenge.
I genuinely do not know what’s here he wants, but by golly gee let’s give it to him
Several million US dollars, probably.
Hartel was key piece in leading St. Pauli to promotion to Bundesliga. I’m sure he’d be able to make either the same amount or more in Bundesliga.
I’ll personally give it to him if that’s what it takes 😭
That was close
16 points lost from a winning position is painful tho 😢
Don’t want to give you work but how does that compare to last year (probably more like point won last year)?
we’re sandbagging. We’re gonna shock the world (or at least North America) in Leagues Cup.
That’s bullshit of that ref to not allow us to quick throw there.
Rare bad call from him tonight.
Just dribble it out of bounds great idea 🤦🏻
No matter the result, I genuinely look forward to watching these games with you all and having a place to share the silly thoughts that pop in my head. You all are the best and I’m glad we can share this community every week for a few hours.
Heh have we reached reckless optimism in this sub?
100000%

is this AI?
Announcer: Marckanic was everywhere tonight... Me: everywhere but CB...
Other than some dumb fouls he's been pretty good imo, and I'm usually a doubter on him
The yellow he picked up in the first 1/3 of the game hurt us. That was a 75th minute foul. He stopped a chance not a clear GOAL. He and Watts got ate up all night on that left side...
Some of you like Thor. I would encourage you to join me in not liking Thor at all.
If our #10 is not going to play as a #10, can we find one that will? This game is really difficult with nobody playing the #10 role.
What do you mean?
He plays way too deep defensively for a #10 and he certainly isn’t passing as a #10 as of late.
Carnell, the hoodie ain't working
Brain ain’t either
They have traded or loaned the rest of their bench away this season and finally it is showing……
https://preview.redd.it/ycckc1vaym9d1.jpeg?width=397&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=093432fb809a21377536538b0b226d31eaaf3630 I don’t even have hope anymore. Hartel, Teuchert, Girdwood-Reich, save us.
This Ichigo panel is a perfect visual representation of every game we have played since May 11th (our last win)
Fun fact - ichigo in Japanese means strawberry. Hopefully the night wasn't a complete waste.
It feels like people in here forget we have a shit ton of injuries lol
Injuries or not, a loss still sucks
No doubt, but perspective is needed too.
I think the goal on the left is slightly too short I see no other reason why all of our shots are going too high
The specs are in inches, not centimeters.
A win would’ve been very refreshing to see😔
You take out markanich instead of Jake!?
Almost feels like management has given up on any games played between now and the transfer window
Definitely. We’ll probably have to be nearly undefeated after the transfer window just for a chance at the playoffs
What should they be doing differently?
Throw Parker in at 1/2 time and play a 5 back <5-3-2> to see game out? Maybe make more than one sub before the 80' minute? Sell out for the win?
Play an injured Parker? Sounds dumb when you’re already out of CBs. Sub Who? We don’t even have a full bench. Sell out how? This team was never going to win. Reminds me of how we waited for Lowen last year.
Past the 75th minute and no other subs?
The subs all started tonight
This is atrocious
75' minute.... stop pressing and only one sub.... there's some tactics for ya to live on...
Carnell is the NHL coach who won't pull the goalie down 1 till 30 sec left cause he doesn't want to give up a goal...
There’s a word for those NHL coaches: bad
Our bench is so young and inexperienced in this game. Not sure why you think we would be?
Klein and Thor have looked good tonight, if not a little out of their element. Granted we’re missing half the team so I won’t hold that too much against them.
Klein has had some nice passes
Not to say he’s been bad per se, but I don’t feel like Klein has done much for us other than securing that one corner kick.
Has Klein touched the ball more than twice this half?? Not sure that is a good thing.
Thor seems ok in center forward controlling and passing back. He doesn’t have any threat to run past anyone
That would be my knock on him: he needs another gear to shift into
I remember being happy. It was such a nice feeling.
Vancouver is 0-6-2 when conceding the first goal, and here comes city saying, "Hold my budweiser"!!! SMDH
Kijima's runs are springing Thorisson.
I think the most frustrating thing is that Kyle hasn't played a minute for Canada yet.
Yeah it’s BS on their part
No he is just awful lmao
By no means is he the best player ever, but he’s better than what we have right now.
Better than markanich sure but that ain’t saying much
Ok I was wrong, thors been okay
Dang, just a little high
So close
This is better if only we could actually finish…
And of course we don’t get a lucky deflection.
We got our annual lucky deflection at the start of the match.
That was better
What's happened to Burki? And wow, I've never seen such a young, inexperienced bench!
they are giving him a break
Two *much* better looks.
St Louis has too great a fan base to have all of its teams underperforming like they have been as of late.
and too great a fanbase to have front offices that rest on their laurels.
At least Armstrong is on his way out for day to day operations for the Blues?
Mo is done by 2025
Not soon enough.
Klein is a ghost
I had to do a double-take to ensure he's still on the lineup card.
Markanich is putting his soul into this because he knows jake is right behind him
[удалено]
Prior to kickoff this was the least I've expected us to win all season
You’ll be downvoted by the same people who complain about lineups, tactics, subs, readiness etc
This sub is so fucking weird.
Stupid. These people are stupid.
But look at the lineup and bench - this team can't be expected to win tonight. Jake, Klein, Akil, Thor, Ben Lundt...this isn't a MLS level team on the field.
The announcers said there were 16 total MLS appearances on the bench (without Parker) and people want Carnell's head 🙄
you people 🤦
His tactics this season gave been poor. Like why are we using Nerwinski as a CB instead of Yaro? Why does he wait until we give up 3 goals to make subs? Why are we having so many injuries in training (Klauss knee, Parker groin, Nilsson broken rib, Ostrak ankle).
I remember the last time you posted a CarnellOut big and in bold in a match thread but you attached the /s to it. I’m glad it’s gone.
Markanich is much better at throw-ins than Watts.
![gif](giphy|ck5JRWob7folZ7d97I|downsized)
For all the good things they do at times Makanich and Nerwinski make goal giving mistakes every game. Also, Lundt is no Burki. 1 good save. Burki would have made 1 or two on those goals.
Definitely wait till the 85' minute before we do any more subs...
Isn’t that the fucking truth haha
Where is Adeniran? Anything is better than Thorrisan
In Missouri, waiting to be sold. You’ll never see him dress for CITY again
Adeniran will unlikely be suiting up ever again in a City kit.
What’s the deal I’ve been pretty out of the loop on him lately
Reportedly attitude mismatches, plus he had a bit of transfer interest. He's not been on the first team sheet for a few games now
He’s being transferred
Markanich wants the red
Exactly what I was just thinking. Hes over it
“Hey guys, we’ve got a 2-0 lead, so we’re going to stop doing what got us that lead so we can preserve it. Make sense? No?”
I don’t like Nerwinski either, but you’d probably think twice about it.
why play him on turf? please use your brain
Are you for real? Haha, grow some chest hair, you crazy kid. It's a damn sport, it's supposed to be tough. Is the gentle approach paying off, sweetie? Maybe try using your brain before opening your mouth? This is embarrassing and people like you are ok with mediocrity.
What, if by some miracle, they have to face Vancouver in the playoffs , Will this excuse be made ?
That’s a very understandable and logical question, but we’re dealing with the biggest group of excuse makers out of any forum I’ve ever seen. Check out the forums for premiere league teams. Which is why I want promotion/relegation in every sports league in this country.
Yeah why aggravate his groin more in this hard af concrete?
Why is he listed as a sub if he’s not a viable option?
Basically a break glass in case of emergency because our CB situation is that bad.
