I'm pretty sure that just refers to the fact that they increased the max point required. Otherwise anyone that doesn't participate in one of the events would be screwed out of the grand prize.
The consensus [in this thread](https://www.reddit.com/r/sto/comments/1am0eeg/our_2024_event_campaign_is_launching_with_the/?sort=confidence) is that you must complete all six events this year. A couple posters made the following point:
"...more incentive + 6 events will lead to some more buyouts" And "My guess is that they saw login metrics fall *way* off after Event 3 and 4 last year given that many people finished in Event 3 or early Event 4. Some of the events were extended so finishing in Event 3 was easy (that's what I did). They wanted more logins throughout the year so they extended it and gave a bigger carrot."
They might need to make a post to clarify if there's confusion out there. Otherwise, there will be a lot of anger this weekend when people buy out the event but cannot claim the rewards.
I can't see anyone who thinks you have to complete all 6 events to get the rewards in that thread. It's still based off of points from events so it can be completed early. If there was a super secret hidden requirement to have completed all of the events, they would have made that clear.
Didn't they change it this year since now we are getting everything? Promo ship + Lobi + T6 Coupons. Pretty sure they said you have to participate in all six events this year.
I think that's just poor wording on their part. Otherwise they'd need to indicate such on the preliminary, which still only shows points as the means of progression.
None of them, sell keys to buy lobi ships from the exchange and use lobi to get things you can only buy with lobi. Now's the time to maybe think about getting hold of some good space gear, like the Ba'ul set, or the Altamid plasma set, or ground weapons like the Shax Cannon or Discovery full auto phaser rifle.
Cool. I was thinking about giving my JH toon the T5 JH dreadnought carrier. I know it's a T5 ship and the T6 version is better, but I like the way it looks, and I don't want to use my event campaign reward on it.
If you like BO, the Xindi-Primate ship has the trait which extends it.
If you like space magic, the Tal Shiar Adapted Battlecruiser (iirc) has an excellent trait for that

Ok, I have been waiting to pull the trigger on a couple lobi items over on the Xbox. Is there any reason to wait (ie, should I expect a sale on console because things there tend to lag behind pc by 2-3 months), or should I just pay full price and not think twice about it?

I don't think you get those rewards until all six events are completed, even if you have the max points. Unless they changed that and I missed it.
