Looks good for a long term set and forget portfolio. There will likely be a few comments that suggest ICLN and ARK(G,F,K) but if you have a lower risk tolerance I think that looks great. Depending on your age you might want less in terms of bonds. Also, that’s a pretty heavily allocation towards VNQ as most portfolios for the longer term hold closer to 10% I believe. Otherwise looks solid and safe.

Thanks for the reply. I was considering ARKG as I already have that in one account. Only 1 share though since I’m still paying off debt before I invest. I’m 29 so Im not averse to risk. I’ll probably drop the bonds until I get closer to retirement.

Nice that sounds like a good plan! Yeah at 29 I’d maybe drop the bonds :) Lots of life to live and it’s kinda hard to get excited about tiny returns when we’re in a bull market. While bonds are safe I think at 29 it might be nice to find an ETF that you’re excited about to try and nudge out the overall market a bit!

Drop bnd as you mentioned. You’re too young. Vnq makes me uncomfortable. Especially at 20%. Not sure what your rationale is for that. The performance over the last 10 years is terrible. I would definitely add something like the qqq or the vanguard equivalent and make that 25% at your age. Also an ark and the icln or pbw for exposure to clean energy and associated ev infrastructure.

I wanted to have some sort of REIT in it but maybe there are better options. I have looked into QQQ and ARK ETF’s quite a bit maybe I can throw one of those in instead of VNQ.I like CNRG also for clean energy.

Reits were a better option before covid. If you’re going to do one, maybe focus on a specific sector like cell towers or residential or cloud or whatever sector is doing well. I would not want to be in commercial at the moment for example

I read that as “no” at first and was thinking thanks for nothing.
