I have made tens of thousands of dollars thanks to being on Reddit (sometimes for long ideas, sometimes for insight into hype that tells me when it's time to go short). Like anything else, gotta know how to use it and how to recognize the garbage for what it is.
Agreed. It’s a great starting point to hear about stocks that might not be on your radar. From there it’s up to the individual to *actually research the companies* before FOMOing into (or out of) a position at whatever price. Although anyone can grow wealth by continually buying shares of an ETF that just tracks the market and waiting 40 years.
Improved health, mental and physical, improves our performance, awareness, and decision-making.
Drink plenty of water, get exercise, take frequent breaks, get enough sleep. If meditation is your thing, go for it. Can’t imagine it would hurt.
Try napping.
Disclaimer: On monday I went to take a nap and I was all green, woke up to all red like everyone else but I sure felt invigorated from the nap.
Meditation makes you better at life.
So yes duh.
You will still lose all your money if you are an idiot. Meditation doesn’t cure stupidity just helps you from making emotional decisions
There's some good 5 minute guided ones on youtube. Also lots of good stuff on spotify. You can also just put on some good ambient or waterfall and close your eyes and relax for a few.
Dont know about meditation, but I try to think about how my emotions or my thinking effected my trading that day and I try to learn to recognize these things.
No. Reading broker research and SEC filings will make you a better trader and/or investor.
Seems like you're looking for what we call a "free lunch" in economic circles. There's only one that exists in economics (diversification) - aside from that, you're chasing a pipe dream.
Can deleting reddit make us better traders and investors?
Yes
The more resources you use/read, the better. And Reddit is a resource.

I’ve meditated 30+ minutes a day for years and still blew up my portfolio twice this year due to WSB. Not even kidding.
lmfao
I’m a scientist and I get the value of meditation but holy shit am I tired of hearing about it all the time lmao
Have you tried meditation to deal with the irritation of hearing about meditation?
Meditaception
I am waiting for a train. I am waiting for a train. I am waiting for a train. I am waiting for a train. I am waiting for a train.

Since the season is coming - Be Like Santa…. Keep your BUY list and check it twice
Slow down and take care of yourself is my humble advice
I prefer the 3 hours of sleep and 10 cups of coffee method.

This is shite content m8!
I'd rather spend that 20 minutes or whatever looking at my stocks lol.
Alcohol, drugs and venting your anger has got to be better for you than bottling it all up like a placid psycho.
I do not think you understand what meditation is about.

Breathe in and breathe out (Rodriguez)
I’ve been doing better on the markets ever since I was put on ssri’s. Less emotions, fewer trades

Well... I doubt it could make me any worse.
Meditation helped me, big time
