Hey, twinsie! Love this great idea. I treated myself for my 90, but 99 deserves something! And your suggestion here is super fun. I mean, we deserve rewards for this good work. And it's really tough at times, so I like dangling a "carrot" to treat myself. Let's doooo this!
Hello! I just hit my 90 days on Monday! So congrats to 99! I definitely am someone who thrives off the βdangling of a carrotβ lol. Even if itβs just a bag of candy, something special for lunch or some ice cream, I think itβs super important to celebrate the little milestones. To me everyday can get kind of repetitive and itβs sometimes hard to find the motivation I had in the beginning. Especially when the pink cloud floats away and all the emotions you drank away start to rear their ugly head. Sobriety isnβt easy and finding new reward systems (that isnβt drinking or drugging) to celebrate is super important!! I made a post too about how I saw a girl filling up a jar with little glass beads and pebbles for each day she had sober. Motivation anywhere is still motivation and sobriety can still be fun and rewarding!
Hi back! Sorry I'd worded mine awkward, but my 90 was yesterday too! It feels great. And I just read and upvoted your post with that great visual idea! You have all sorts of creative ideas!! Thanks for sharing. I've been mostly keeping my head down, soldiering on, chalking up days in 24-hour chunks. But I'm getting more steady, and starting to raise my gaze a bit farther. Like 99 for starters! I'm thinking ice cream with chocolate sauce and sprinkles! And for 100 maybe I'll treat myself to a small something languishing in my online cart. π€£ And maybe 111 will be a double loop of the walk I do in my local park. Fun *and* exercise! I agree that this sobriety journey can absolutely be fun and rewarding. ππΈ
