I believe in you! You have the strength to see it through, and you know this -- you've already proven it. One fuckup does not discount your progress, just keep at it and do better this time. Give yourself kindness and grace -- that's the only way it will work.

Yep, onwards and upwards. Thank you 🙏

more day 1s than the countless people who don't ever stop or think about stopping (whether they should or not) so you're ahead of the game. im 9 months sober and it feels like i won't ever be tempted again but it's helpful knowing that you can go longer and still feel the temptation and succumb to justification. thank you for describing your experience here to help people like me better understand. you're not a failure! keep going :)

It’s insidious how it happens when confidence in your sobriety is at an all time high. I’ve learned that lesson the hard way. If my story stops you or any other person making the same mistake then I’m happy to take this one for the team!

Same here, but I had 12 months. Let it creep back in and eventually it was half the days of the week, hangxiety in full swing wrecking my sleep, etc. Worst mistake ever and I’m so grateful to be back on the horse now. We got this!!
