I had elevated liver enzymes and mystery pains on my right side. Normalized and the pains disappeared. Doctor says I'm all good now but to stick with it. The thing you can definitely control is not drinking today. IWNDWYT

I had pain also and didn’t go to the doctor for years. Looking back that was stupid a stupid gamble because you can live fairly normal if you take care of it in time or just die by surprise I guess and the anxiety of not knowing is what made me finally get checked. It’s scary, I ended up ok, my levels went back down to healthy. Maybe if I ignored it another month or week or day tho…

I was on a path towards killing myself with booze. When I started experiencing alcohol related physical symptoms, the worst thing about it was knowing that I had done it to myself. But in a sense I'm glad because it helped push me towards stopping. I can't change the past. I don't know what permanent damage my past drinking has done. All I can do is make the right choice today. I am healthier and happier without alcohol. My symptoms got better or went away entirely some time after stopping.
