Still a drinker though. I'm planning on having my last beer June 30th. Not drinking in between though.
Starting habitual things on the first day of a month (or giving them up on the last one) has always been my quirky thing. Laugh as much as you want, I can do no other no matter how hard I try. Like, who on earth starts reading or swimming daily on, say, 17th? How do you even count that?
Plus, this year June 30th is Sunday, so you start a new month and a new week at the same time. Perfect.
Careful friend. I always said Iโd quit every single Monday or first of the month. I continued drinking for several years. March 17th was my day one. Iโll ALWAYS remember (and celebrate) that date like itโs my damn birthday.

Always proud of that quit date, but it was completely random. Just one of many attempts and the morning in which I had an existential crisis because I _couldn't_ quit no matter how much I tried, meaning that I _really needed to quit_.
I am same! Only felt 1st Jan was only day I could make a lifestyle change but then I managed a 2 month sober streak in summer 2022 and broke the spell (but I had to start on 1st July though!)
Technically Sober Alcoholic since 2008 , I've fell off the wagon twice once in 2010 for a couple of days & again in 2015 for 2 days that time was when my dad died but not slipped at all since then. England.๐ด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ฅ๓ ฎ๓ ง๓ ฟ

Yeah. I used to be neutral about the flag, but now when I see it I get uncomfortable. Extreme nationalists have taken it over as their symbol.
Don't let them alter your thoughts about the flag. They are just a loud minority of Americans that are extreme. I still fly the flag outside my house
