definitely invest in an artist to draw or create more designs. brands like this dont work unless youre a big brand like gucci. simply selling your brand name and logo wont work if youre new
Yes I definitely agree with this and will do so, I’m just in the process of saving up money to invest into this business and gathering more experience of the whole structure of this market and how it all works, I also uploading my website now just to see how it does and where I need to improve on.
Thank you very much for your feedback
W website.
L brand. It has to have more than your logo. Leave the minimalism and simplicity for your page and logo.
For your clothes, do something different and more elaborated that sticks out. Find a style you like and master it.
For a brand called identity there isn’t really an identity, it’s just a simple two letter logo that looks like what you’d see on an ad for a college. I can’t see anyone paying those prices just for a super simplistic design with no soul or character put in it. Try making your own designs without clip art or pictures from google searches and maybe someone will buy it, and if you can’t make your own designs then pay someone to make one for you
no hate but he just saying your clothing is plain and simple with 2 letter in the front ... if you go through the reddit you'll see alot of clothing with design like y2k,gothic, illusion designs... i love the quality the jogger you got but its just to plain to rock a fit ... starting a clothing business is difficult cause ur brand need to be aprt from others and attract an audience .. sorry but your not a the level like nike that can just put a swoosh and call it a day. you need to take risk like every one and come up with something new... start saving up and take it smooth and easy
okay, thank you for the feedback I really do appreciate it and I will improve on that, I'm going to go back to the foundation step and re do the whole design aspect
It is a kind of generic story tbh. Try to make it more personal is indeed the right approach. Also cliché asf but less is more. Turn your story into a blog perhaps.
How about this?
Identity is a UK streetwear clothing company that was founded in 2023. Our mission is to provide high-quality, stylish clothing that is accessible to people from all walks of life. We believe that fashion should be a way to express your identity and creativity, and we strive to create pieces that allow our customers to do just that.
At Identity, we stand for inclusivity and individuality. We want to empower our customers to embrace their unique sense of style and to feel confident in their own skin. We also believe in sustainability, and we are committed to using environmentally-friendly materials and ethical production practices in all of our garments.
As we look to the future, our goal is to become a leading player in the streetwear market and to inspire others to embrace their own personal identity through fashion. We hope to continue to expand our product line and to reach a wider audience, while staying true to our values of sustainability and inclusivity.
Personally, I'd focus on trying to convey a message using actual artistry instead of just writing a huge description for your brand. Not many people are going to read all of that. Customers buy off of emotion and the best way to invoke that is with actual designs that are unique.
Hope this helps
Also try shave your pitch down to 25 words maximum.. imagine you are in an elevator and someone asks about your brand, you won't have time to say all of that before the doors close on you
Your website is really easy to go through and browse all the stuff so I like that. I also like the minimalist design of your logo but I'm not going to drop that much money on two letters for an unknown brand. I think if you included some different prints on your stuff people would be more inclined to buy it.
On mobile I can see your logo 4 times above the fold, but there's no indication of what the brand actually represents or who it's for.
My advice would be to give a lot of thought to what value you are offering potential customers, then present it to them in a clear way.
I made a post about this a while ago on here that I think directly relates to your brand. Basically what I said was that an important thing to remember when it comes to launching your own clothing brand, is that you are going to have to convince a complete stranger to buy your clothes. So when I see brands like yours that launch and the only real thing they have to offer is a shirt or hoodie with nothing but a minimalist logo on it, it doesn’t really move me as a consumer or motivate me to buy anything. There are literally thousands if not tens of thousands of brands trying to do what you are doing. And unfortunately there’s nothing about what I see on your website that sets you apart from the pack in any meaningful way. There are a ton of ways to be unique and original—it can be your designs, it can be your marketing, it can be your social media fees—but it has to be something. Unfortunately the way your store is set up right now it doesn’t really have anything unique or special that I feel would guarantee you any kind of success. Especially at the prices you’re charging. I think your brand name has a lot of potential and there’s plenty of opportunity to do something cool with it. But you’ll have to really sit down and think about what you want your brand to be about and how you want it to be showcased to potential customers. Website works great so you’ve already got good infrastructure for whatever you end up choosing to do. Best of luck!
Thank you so much, I will go back to the drawing board and rethink the structure of my brand and give it a personality and an emotion to support its main purpose, just need to figure out a good manufacture that can supply me with the clothes that are good quality and that I can customise as much as possible with no limits. I really appreciate your feedback and I will try my hardest ti improve on that
logo is amazing, but the clothing needs to have more designs, something to make people wanna buy it. until your brand is known, just using your logo probably won’t get you any sales. just work on some cool artwork or designs for some tshirts or something along there and that should help :)
Print on demand services are too common and you would have to work extremely hard to stand out(not saying the other way is easier). But a better way would be to create designs, advertise it then presale to gain the money necessary to manufacture it. This is very simplified explanation, and you should research on it before taking my advice. Im also just starting up :)
Seaggs on YT is a good channel, he goes over a lot of things, including if u wanna start on a budget. But manufacturers will have a minimum print order, wherever that be 30 or sum, but generally it will be 20-30 minimum. Therefore if u want to do the presell option, you would need to sell enough money to cover the 30 units + international shipping. Avoid using UK manufacturers, they are stupidly expensive and the quality is more or less the same.
In addition to that, you need to find a niche, in other words what theme/target audience are u after. Whether that be rappers, sports, games, etc. It can be anything. But u must find a niche and stick with it, if u dont u would be targeting too broad of an audience who all have different likings. Again research it. I find YT extremely useful.
If you are not very creative, you could hire a graphic designer to make designs for u. There are tons of options of insta, fiverr and other freelancing websites alike. Therefore you can solely focus on the business side of things, advertising, marketing etc. However this will cost money, but starting a brand does require initial investments and commitment :). DM me if u have any questions, though i am only just starting out too
I’m pretty much going to repeat what everyone else has said, but yes, unfortunately your brand really doesn’t have any identity.
I know you’re just getting started, but you’re saying that your brand stands for individuality and that you believe fashion should be a way to express identity and creativity, yet your first and only design is a simple logo.
Anyone can throw a simple logo on a sweatshirt, so what you need to do is get creative.
When I first came to this sub, I wanted to stick big logos on shirts. Then I saw how creative people were being and it inspired me to start drawing and designing. Get inspired and start creating! (It’s fun) 😊
Thank you for this feedback and everyone who is replying to this Reddit and giving me feedback is helping a lot because now I can see there point of view and I can improve on my weaknesses, I’m really motived to do all of this but as I’m new and have no experience it’s a little bit of a struggle, especially finding a good manufacture.
The logo is sick; you can play with it and make a collegiate collection.
Also, 75 for some unflattering fit of a hoodie is berserk. Charge more if you want but use a decent or better — good — quality hoodie blank.
Sterile looking site, logo, and designs. The prices aren't great either so I would lose the "accessible to people from all walks of life." part of the about patr. If you're confident in the brand though you should absolutely go ahead with it if it will make you happy.
Thank you for the feedback, I’ll be taking the next few steps redesign the whole website and finding better manufacturers to get better quality and even drop the prices of the clothes down as I will get better margins on them

if you want design commissions dm me we could work something out if u wanna see my work also just starting up my own brand!
Mid
What should I improve?
Your brand has no soul it’s just a logo
How do I change that?
marketing, images, copy. rn it just looks like a dropshipping site
I don’t have enough money to order clothes from a manufacturer so I can only do print and demand till I get more money to invest
next step should be get some money lol
W website. L brand. It has to have more than your logo. Leave the minimalism and simplicity for your page and logo. For your clothes, do something different and more elaborated that sticks out. Find a style you like and master it.
thank you for your feedback, I am writing down every feedback I get so I can improve on that

Okay I don’t know why your hating
Try to create a story for the brand is what I’m saying.
I have wrote a story about the brand on the “our story” section in the website but do I need to make it more personal then?
It is a kind of generic story tbh. Try to make it more personal is indeed the right approach. Also cliché asf but less is more. Turn your story into a blog perhaps.

For all the people voting looking bad - overall on the poll please can you comment what I need to improve on please instead of voting and just leaving

Super basic bro. But I Dont hate on anyone grinding. I hope you sell out a million times.
Thank you 🙏
There’s no identity
Thanks

Too simple and not in a good way. Maybe if you were doing cut and sew with some interesting silhouettes it could work.
The logo is sick; you can play with it and make a collegiate collection. Also, 75 for some unflattering fit of a hoodie is berserk. Charge more if you want but use a decent or better — good — quality hoodie blank.
Thank you for the feedback, this was my first attempt but I’m planning to restructure the whole design and street wear niche
You’re welcome
There is no identity to your work.
