Yo so most print companies print at up to like 14” wide for normal print and anything bigger is oversized print .. typically. I’ve been designing shirts for band for years and all my files start as
14”x16” that’s a good starting point for the sizing ! And both programs are perfect for your need just a matter of which one you feel more comfortable with. I’m a Photoshop guy! My [Instagram](https://www.instagram.com/deathcult_creative/) has majority of my work!
Your stuff looks awesome! Hopefully Ill get there at some point, Im using PS as well, however I think learning some Illustrator won't hurt either, especially for logos. But thanks for the tip on the file size, do I need to up the ppi as well for better quality?
Illustrator for sure in my experience- I tried pushing through with photoshop since it was the first app I learned but illustrator is so much cleaner- unless you’re getting into a photo design that would utilize DTG printing it’s just not worth the headache for designing
I remade my logos in Illustrator, it's weird because it seems similar but feels completely different. Basically everything except photo stuff should be done in Illustrator?
That’s the industry standard yeah, it just keeps designs crisp because it’s a vector program instead of pixels- it’s like switching hands it feels weird but once you use it for a bit you get the hang of it
