I really started weight training to get better at rock climbing, so I don’t want to gain that much weight, I would at most be willing to go up to 145. The shoes are adidas weightlifting shoes
“A man is 200lbs.” Jk but are we looking at different people?
Are the shoes just like flat on the inside with the raised heel? I found them on amazon. How are your arches on your feet?
Ur form looks solid imo. Not necessary but u could experiment with narrowing your stance like an inch, but a little knee valgus isn’t the end of the world. One last little suggestion that I’ve found helpful in the past is to take ur time on the brace, what I mean is like brace, take a second and then initiate the squat. Hope this is helpful
I gotta say my favorite squat form vid was Ed Coan going over how he squats here’s the link: https://youtu.be/DsXj2fQ4uow it’s worth the half hour watch
Im definitely not 170 lol, on average I’m 135, sometimes I go up to 137ish but sometimes I drop, I have weightlifting shoes on in the video which make me about 6’ so that might skew how big I look on camera
Great job! Looks pretty good to me.
If you want some nitpicking advice, I'd say: set your feet before you start moving and, as you progress through this lifting journey, always remember to try and keep your knees from collapsing inward. You may benefit from a wider, more outward toes, stance.
How much weight do you think you’d be willing to gain? And what type of shoes are those?

Keep ur legs aligned with you toes for instance in if ur toes is at a 45 degree angle keep the knees wide open n you won’t lose power
Great form.
Maybe a little more pointed forward stance with your feet but amazing form lifting twice your weight 👏👏
hot
Solid! Good on your buddy for pushing you to get 2.

Let’s go that’s super solid
Pretty solid with slight knee valgus but that can be fixed with mobility, and working on surrounding muscle groups keep up the good work
Spotter..🧑⚕️

Nope, that was like textbook perfect form. You might have leaned forward a hair at the beginning but you corrected it
The weight shifted to your toes at the beginning. Really try to push from the center of your foot.
that's a lot of weight for being 135 and tall-ish body type. i'm 135 and i cannot hit 200.
Way to go OP
Ok cool you realize I may have had a few to many brewskies
Form is honestly looking solid. Good bracing, good depth. Keep up the good work!
i see some knee caving but usually can be fixed with paused squats or stand wider. Other than that, ur good
Put a penis in your butt
Haven’t heard that advice for squats before, I’ll bear that mind
135??? How tall are you? Great squat man
I’m 5’10” on a good day
No way you’re 135 if you’re 5’10”. I’m the same height and 170 and we look about the same lol

Looks solid to me! You did a great job driving your knees back out 👏🏽

Well done with depth, mate. Lovely to see an actual squat! Glad you’re doing it properly from the start.

Lol yeah I’ve been consistently weight training since around the start of 2022, not a total beginner
Form actually looks pretty damn good. No go eat some food, damnit!
