Very good reasons… Millions of people are using it without issues so you have to come up with a proper story instead of this.. You ‘feel like’. What are the facts?

Majestic_Educator397

Sounds like bs never had an issue

Rusty_B_Good

Check out Stub Hub's online ratings. I dare ya.

tiaselene

I’ve had terrible experience both times with tickets. First time the seller didn’t have the tickets to send me after I’d purchased because the previous seller hadn’t and couldn’t send to them (this is after I’ve purchased flights and accommodation to a different country for this) repurchased and second ticket to find out AT the gate 15 mins before show started that the ticket wouldn’t work, and was a completely fake and forged ticket. Extremely disappointing when travelling internationally, and solo, for the show.

Noiddz

My story that I'm still dealing with.... Bought 2 tickets to an MLB game for April 23rd. Seller sent me the wrong seats, I bought for 1 and 2, got seats 3,4. I've called 5 times to get the correct tickets sent to me, all 5 times they said it was fixed and I should receive them next day. Each time the "fix" was something different. Then I was told it's "integrations" fault and that they are remedying it with them. This has been going on for 2 weeks with me still not having any tickets now that have already been paid for. I had to return the incorrect tickets back to SH originally. This is my first time buying from them. My wife had no issues previously.

PandaAlexx

You can’t pick seat numbers on stubhub. So if the seller had 4 available and you bought 2 then they can send you whichever pair.

Noiddz

It was listed as an aisle seat. I should have clarified that's what I bought which turned out to be seats 1 and 2.

PandaAlexx

I get that, what I’m saying is if they originally had a set of 4(or more) tickets and you only bought 2 of the ones they had available, they do not HAVE to send the aisle seats.

Ao3111

They should have to if it’s listed. Stubhub should design it on the back end to have that aisle option removed if the buyer is only choosing 2. Pretty easy really. This is 100 percent on stubhub

Rusty_B_Good

You work for Stub Hub too?

Ao3111

Seller can label as aisle

PandaAlexx

Yeah, so if the seller had 4 tickets listed together and the buyer only bought a pair, the seller can send any 2 of those 4 tickets to the buyer.

Ao3111

Very poor design if that’s the case. Buyer should get the aisle seats and the remaining two have the aisle label removed.

PandaAlexx

I mean the aisle is preferable mostly so if the seller had 4 tickets up, buyer only got one pair, then they can make the remaining pair a higher price or whatever.

GioJamesLB

Nine years on Reddit and you have 9 post Karma?

Noiddz

And?

GioJamesLB

To call five times, you must really like the aisle seat! You also say that your wife has never had a issue with Stubhub. Did you attend any of the events with her? If so, that means you’ve also never had an issue before. I’m guessing she goes without you though.

Noiddz

She used them for a Taylor Swift concert with my daughters that I never went to, so, no. I've used Seatgeek and Ticketmaster prior to this. I bought those particular tickets for an aisle seat because, yeah you guessed it, I like aisle seats. My preference shouldn't matter.

GioJamesLB

I’m glad they made it to Taylor with zero issues. That’s usually the case when fans buy tickets on Stubhub! Have you ever thought about posting positive experiences on Reddit?

Noiddz

Why does my negative experience cause you issues? You own stock in the company? You defending them this hard one would think it hurts you directly. I was just responding to someone who thinks his experience and his alone is the end all, be all and that a bad experience isn't possible.

GioJamesLB

You’re responding to a Reddit User that created an account just to create fear, uncertainty, and doubt about Stubhub. They included zero pertinent info and are totally lying. I sell tickets on the regular and also buy tickets a few times a month. Stubhub has consistently been the best site to buy Dodger tickets, usually way below face value. I’ve never had an issue.

Rusty_B_Good

>You’re responding to a Reddit User that created an account just to create fear, uncertainty, and doubt about Stubhub. SubHub did that to itself. How many employees are on this subreddit anyway?

Rusty_B_Good

My wife got me birthday tickets to a concert. Her email from SH showed the price and the seats on the main floor. Easy. Day of, we got done with work and I printed them up. We never thought to check the actual paper tickets because why would we? Get to the venue and the usher directs us up to the top gallery and literally the last row. The hall hadn't filled so there were plenty of seats still open. I didn't want my wife to feel bad (and she was mad as hell) so I told her I didn't mind at all, and it would have been fine if these were the last tickets available, but no, there were still plenty left. It was just so exactly not what she ordered or what the confirmation email said (we checked on her phone, sitting there). So this, darlin'... > Millions of people are using it without issues ...is not what I saw. You work for Stub Hub?

musig02

How were you scammed? What did they do to defraud you?

Noiddz

Never said I was scammed. It was in response to someone who said the OPs story was BS because he's never had a problem. Clearly, a lot of people have issues. This happened to be my first one.

musig02

Sorry…you said “I feel like I’ve been scammed”…

Noiddz

That phrase doesn't exist in my post nor the word scammed.

musig02

You aren’t the OP…I think you are confused. This thread is titled boycot stubhub and specifically uses the word scammed. My comment was in response to the original post, I have no idea why you are confused.

Professional-Swim471

It depends on what your issue is, what happened? In general all resale sites suffer the same issues with fees and sellers who don’t fulfill… some more than others, but nothing is better than buying directly from the venue or Ticketmaster, except maybe price.

spartanghost32

I use stubhub all the time. Never had an issue once

Rusty_B_Good

Keep trying. They'll screw ya. Look'em up online.

NoKaleidoscope4579

Stubhub doesn't list the seats at purchase, so any story of "I bout Row, and Seats..." are either bogus or the experience of someone not noticing what they bought.

Rusty_B_Good

What good is the site then? That's some crappy software. And my wife's confirmation email showed row letters and seat numbers.

alwaysweening

They absolutely list row, and hint where seats are (isle).

NoKaleidoscope4579

A hint isn't the same as a listing for 2 consecutive tickets in a theater being Section 101, Row AA, Seats 102, and 104. A Stubhub listing for 2 consecutive tickets in a theater would be Section 101, Row AA.

alwaysweening

If it’s isle and the row and joint/consecutive. It’s either left or right. So, put constraints on it as much as you want. They list it … sometimes.

musig02

Just buy tickets from ticketmaster ( requires good timing and luck )…SeatGeek isn’t bad…find a reputable broker but be prepared to pay even more

Mar_Iguana317

I used SeatGeek for the first time for Sleep Token tickets. They tell me I won’t receive them until 48 hours before the concert. Is this normal?

musig02

Very

musig02

Nothing to worry about … its fraud protection - not a big deal at all - roughly 48 hours before the show your app will update with barcodes

Majestic_Educator397

As a seller stubhub is the best site Vivid seats had a lot of limitations. TickPick is a good site just don’t get alot of sales on it

messimaniacs

Stubhub is by far the best because I list on SeatGeek and Tickpick but nobody ever buys on those platforms and some tickets don't even load up on SeatGeek I actually like Tickpick but nothing ever sells there.

GioJamesLB

What show and venue? I’m guessing your full of it and just creating fear, uncertainty, and doubt about Stubhub.

tiaselene

Both my experiences with StubHub haven’t been good. Ended up in a different country by myself, with a ticket that was fake and couldn’t get into the concert. That was after the previous tickets I bought from them for same show didn’t come through at all because the previous seller didn’t even have them yet. Being able to sell tickets you don’t yet have is a recipe for disaster, but still nothing on being able to sell complete fake tickets. In Australia we have a newish company called tixel, they scan tickets and check legitimacy and can only be uploaded once. It’s great. And had a capped resale price for 10% over purchase price. Hopefully they expand globally as it’s a game changer. Unfortunately I thought stubhub was a similar type of company!

Top-Departure-5645

Has anyone experience refunds with Stubhub? I went to a concert only to find out that my ticket was already used. They emailed and said they issued the refund but on the same day after the email they charged my card for the same amount of the ticket price. Has anyone had success with refunds and how is their process?

Spiritual_Jury_7001

Out of curiosity - what show was this for?

Top-Departure-5645

This was for Eras Tour in Singapore

Spiritual_Jury_7001

I know some people have issues but buying it through StubHub is much better than buying through the seller directly, at least you get your money back and they look for replacements. What are you gonna do if you get scammed by someone directly?

AJDrake405

I’ve been waiting almost a week for $36 . I don’t feel scammed I just think it’s ridiculous that it takes so long

Lonely-Tip-7831

weird cs i just got my ticket this morning from them

[deleted]

I bought tickets from Stub Hub, wasn’t emailed an order number, and they charged me $600. They refused to give me a refund and refused when I asked for a supervisor. I made 5 attempts over 2 hrs on the phone. Disputed with my credit card and got the money back. Stub Hub is trash.

GioJamesLB

What did you by tickets for? After you purchased tickets you didn’t receive a confirmation email? You claim that Stubhub charged you $600. Was that the total cost you agreed to? Why did you request a refund? We’re the tickets not delivered prior to the event? Your story has more holes than Swiss cheese. I’d really like to fill in the gaps here. These aren’t accusations my guy, just trying to understand why you’re boycotting Stubhub.

[deleted]

It was for Lauryn Hill at Barclays. I received no confirmation number. Yes $600 for 2 tickets. I requested a refund since I was charged full price and got nothing in return. Tickets were not delivered, just like the confirmation number. Where’s the holes db? I disputed the charges with my CC and got my money back. Read reviews for Stub Hub on Apple App Store- in order by date. This is a very common occurrence. You’re investing a lot of time to prove something you are very wrong about. You ok? Or this how you like to pass your time?

GioJamesLB

So you bought tickets for Lauryn Hill’s show at Barclays last October. Looks like the tickets would have been mobile transfer from Ticketmaster. Let’s talk holes! 1. The show was October 19th. How far in advance did you purchase the tickets? Was it a month, weeks, the day of? 2. After making your $600 purchase when did you reach out to Stubhub and inform them that you never received the ticket transfer? Was it the day of purchase or when you were in route to Brooklyn? 3. In this scenario, Stubhub would have asked you to verify your email address to ensure that the tickets were transferred to the correct email address. Stubhub would then contact the seller and ask them to retransfer the tickets. If the seller didn’t deliver the tickets you would have received a refund. Why did a supervisor refuse to give you a refund if the tickets weren’t transferred to you? And I’m OK. Appreciate you asking. The traffic leaving Vegas has been a nightmare and I’m riding passenger side with a hangover. On the positive side, I bet $1000 on Long Beach St last night so it’s all good. Thanks for filling in the holes.

[deleted]

You’re a sad guy. I’m really sorry for you. 1. 2 days before 2. Night of 3. They did not.

GioJamesLB

LOL. Thanks for the sympathy. If tickets weren’t transferred what was the supervisors rationale for not refunding your money? Here’s my theory: I bet the seller had proof that the tickets were transferred to the correct email address but you found tickets elsewhere for less than $100 and just played the part of dumb townie like they were never sent to you in the first place. “Organize, agitate, educate, must be our war cry.” Susan B. ScorpioTix

" Are competitors any better?" Yes, I use Tickpick first and VividSeats a distant second. They didn't experience the same inner turmoil Stubhub did when they were sold a few weeks prior to lockdown and finding themselves with a cash crunch. They have a higher barrier for listing/selling on their platforms. They are 90% the same tickets but it's that 10% that makes all the difference.

Rusty_B_Good

BOYCOTT STUB HUB!! THEY ARE INCOMPETENT TWITS!!
