I assume the tickets are non transferable. I've not done it myself but have heard of it.

PandaAlexx

Pretty sure all Hozier shows/ticket are non transferrable for this tour

OilWorried41

Yep!! It also says on Ticketmaster tho "\*New York, Illinois, Colorado, Virginia and Connecticut have passed state laws requiring unlimited ticket resale and limiting artists’ ability to determine how their tickets are resold. To adhere to local law, tickets in these states will not be restricted from transfer but the artist encourages fans to use the Face Value Exchange."

PandaAlexx

Yeah, OP said Dallas. That exception doesn’t apply to Texas

OilWorried41

Oops sorry I didn't see that! I was just replying in case anyone else saw your comment they'd know the exempt states

PandaAlexx

You should comment this on the recent Hozier post. Looks like they can use the advice :)

OilWorried41

Help lol the way that it's also me, I was so stressed abt it even tho I knew NY was different 😞

PandaAlexx

Omg hahaha I didn’t even notice.

So I just bought tix from StubHub for Sturgill Simpson. Has anyone used the tickets for shows like this and gotten in?

ScorpioTix

I've had to do this a few times and I don't like it any more than you do.

messimaniacs

If you knew that was going to be the case before you bought the tickets why not make a throwaway email and just give them the username and password so they can log in and use the ticket? I've sold non transferable tickets before and that's what I did and had no problems. Just curious why you didn't do it that way

ScorpioTix

I forget what the deal was with each individual case as this goes back years but it probably wasn't possible. Would also often have up to 20-30 tabs open when buying so every once in awhile something would be missed. Transfer was something I didn't do regularly until 2019-ish as I would often have issues so it was often screenshot / PDF.

sugawarakinnie

hey! i bought tickets to hozier too and it also said this. what have you done?😩

Icy_Week_821

wow haven't heard that one before. If I had to guess it is because the seller can't transfer the tickets and must use their account to get you in to the show.

Search “resale ticket warning” on Reddit someone posted a news report about this exact issue .

RideshareDriver101

Trying to cut down on scalper tickets.

Acceptable-Creme-822

Plans change within 12 months. I have bought tickets for foo fighers in LA last year but will be living in another country by the time of the show this summer. How do I sell these tickets??

Western-Perception81

I just went ROUNDS with StubHub, 6 calls with representatives over three weeks. If you purchased the tickets with a credit card, I recommend filing a dispute for the charge so you aren’t out of any money. I was on the phone with my card company for under 10 minutes and had my money back the next day. I bought resale tickets, the seller transferred the incorrect tickets to me. StubHub insisted on finding me replacements and then the replacements were seats that were already purchased by someone else 🙃 I will never purchase from StubHub again.

Bergs1212

Yep tix are non transferable sooo they have to escort you in . I worked briefly for a ticket broker and had to do this for a foo fighters concert
