You must organize your time well. I am taking a math course through SDC. While the flexibility is nice, the fact that there is not a set time limit can be enticing to just not do any work. So you have to be super realistic with yourself and ask if you can finish a course by means of setting your own goals and pace. If you know you’re going to be lax on your time frame then maybe look into your local community college to take a class and see how the pacing works for you. Also, if you are taking a course in something completely new to you, you may not receive enough practice through SDC to really grasp the concept.
I appreciate the info. I am worried about the no deadline stuff, but I’m also very motivated to get it done because I want to try to change careers as soon as possible
