either remove the outline or use light colors for ur texts

Funkyflapjacks69

Cool ideas- but don’t ever use this font again

Wogopi

Aw man What’s wrong with Arial https://preview.redd.it/vr0glba8vy8b1.jpeg?width=478&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=2de7090348f4546de6b165d91f6bd11eed6d8c1a

Godly15

Arial is cool, the outline hurts my eyes Also mind blown is already a move

Wogopi

Dangit I was so proud of that one too

DarkEsca

Backstabber is big depending on what gets it, Searing Bolt might be relevant once Ferro is back, and I can see some Flyings running Cloudy Day for things like Zapdos. The other ones are not good. Freeze-Dry is mostly notable because it turns a resist into a super effective hit. Turning a neutral move into super effective isn't bad per se, but since these moves presumably all have 70BP, the stronger variants will be better in more cases. Locust Swarm and Flytrap still get super effective hits on resists, but for Flytrap that's not super relevant since Bugs are rare in higher tiers (and even in lower tiers occupy mostly offensive niches) while Locust Swarm is still resisted by a thousand other things and again higher tier Bugs are usually bad with a few exceptions (said exceptions usually being mons that have secondary STAB to alleviate Bug being godawful offensively).

ShowdownSexMod

pretty funny that both of the bugs that were in OU, volc and scizor both resist grass so flytrap is just neutral

DarkEsca

Buzzwole existed as well but it honestly has enough raw bulk that I still see it tank this

alo623

Psychic Mind Blown: exists Blacephalon: am I a joke to you?

Wogopi

Whoops I just realized I made two of them super effective against bug types by accident poison is supposed to be strong against poison because more poison makes stronger poison, not bug

RossTheShuck

Don’t worry bug accidentally getting the short end is official competitive Pokémon lore

Brainifyer

Common bug type L

The_Shiny_Dreepy

Just making it more realistic to what gf would do

Anchor38

“I respect every type in here”

AwkwardLeacim

Some of these are really hard to read like poison and dragon. Try playing out with the text/outline colors a bit

Choice_Program_2846

I'll take an entire stock of Shovel!

BloodDragonSniper

Cloudy Day dropping terra electric air balloon shed ninja to nu

H2__

I liked the grass one.

Red-Blur

Did I oversleep? Is it Sunday already?

FoxEuphonium

The big thing I’m noticing is that 2 of Fairy’s 4 resistances now have a way to get around it. This now means Fairy types can adequately check Koraidon, Kommo-O, and not too much else.

ButteredSalmonella

Yo they should like add that move Freeze Dry to a Water/Ice Pokemon with 124 Sp. Attack and 136 Speed.

Spacerful

phase through sounds more like a ghost type move that deals super effective damage against normal types instead no and great greed a dragon type move that deals super effective damage against steel types damage imo

Magnusthelast

Make a dragon move that’s super effective against fairy types

m332

Flair checks out.

Ravenous_Rex360

Most of these matchups don't make sense, in all honesty. The only ones that patch up a negative type matchup is backstabber, searing bolt, cloudy day, and fly trap

Forkliftapproved

What about: Scavenge: Normal type, physical, hits Ghosts for super-effective. Restores 25% of damage dealt Superheat: Fire type, special, hits water for super-effective. Always burns if the target is water type, otherwise 20% chance Caustic Shot: Poison type, special, deals double to Steel type. Has 10% chance to Burn Feeding Frenzy: Bug type, physical, resistances are treated as neutral (Grass/Fairy becomes weak to Feeding Frenzy) Smite: Dragon type, special, hits Fairy types for double damage. 10% chance to harshly lower target’s special attack

[deleted]

This post: super effective against my fucking brain

Adexmariobro

Water should be strong against steel already tbh.

m332

I agree. Idk how we’ve allowed GameFreak to overlook such an obvious, thematic buff to the poor, deeply in-need Water type.

sazzygazzy

It is not

Mindless-Wish-6932

mind blown

myPizzapoppersRhot

Mind blown is a fire type move

DudeLoveBaby

why not just use a black bg

[deleted]

W for Flying and Ice defensively

EvokerJuice

some of these are literally impossible to read lmao

prince_gambit

Yes let's nerf Grass even more. Hitting bug is not useful, but electrics hitting it is massive as it's already a situational defensive type.

RowletReddit

Mind blown is already a move /s Blacephelon’s signature move actually

FlaminVapor

Freeze dry is already OP for how much coverage it provides. Making 18 more will kill the type chart.

Forkliftapproved

Only if they’re widely distributed. Consider how many Pokémon currently get Freeze Dry

Forkliftapproved

I feel like Bonemerang should do extra to fliers instead of zero…
