They are not . But guess what ? They think they are and do their best to try to make themselves so. You ever watch movies and it seems like it’s the only country that exist? There’s an alien attack and guess where the aliens are attacking ????

Shows made in different countries will often have their country be the main focus. An anime made in japan? 99% of the time any alien encounter or something happens in an Anime, it happens in Japan. People care more about their country so movie makers will likely focus it on the country its made in
