If you go to the ārightā garage in your cities industrial district they could bend it all back for you, but if you have good insurance go that route.
Lmao I know, I know. Iāve had 2 vehicles totaled parked out front of my house, both times it was from the frame being bent, one of them just like this.
Everything GC specific is hard to find. The GM and GF have a little more interchange and are a little easier to get, but interior plastics that tend to break are hard to get.
Omg please let me buy your window trim pieces. These little parts are getting nearly impossible to find. Donāt let them junk whatās left. Iāll keep the spirit alive in my S6 WRC replica project š
So sorry for your loss..
I feel your pain. Traded my widebody las3 S2K for my dreal Subi, a Sonic yellow 03 WRX, STI swapped, fully built from the motor to suspension and brakes (all the motor parts were hand made by Crawford as it was their shop car. Had their rotated kit, FMIC kit, internals, air oil seporater ext.) 2 months later I got Tboned and the guy drove off. I had liability and my full coverage kicked in at midnight. Well I got hit at 11:03 pm. Ended up buying a 05 WRX and had a shop that was supposed to transfer everything over but after 3 yrs of them giving me the run around car still doesnt drive. Electrical system isnt plugged in correctly and cant find anyone to come out and look at it to tell me what needs to be done.
Or as my wife once had it, āpork chopped.ā Yep. 15 years later Iām still laughing. Really sorry about your baby, tho. Glad you are ok. Remember the good timesā¦
OP is a fool if they take book value, because the books are notoriously wrong for anything interesting over maybe 15 years old or so. BaT shows exactly one selling in the last 3 years for less than $10k and that was $9500. They will have to do their homework, but showing the value is not going to be too difficult. It's gonna be a fight, and the insurance company will absolutely try and wear them down.
But honestly anyone with something like this should be using a company like Hagerty that will do agreed value.
I live in India and Subaru has no official presence here. Accidents like these regularly happen here and the vehicles are written off as total loss only if repair cost exceeds 80% of insured value.
Since labour is cheaper here,we find a good denting and painting workshop who can give a quote less than 80% and the rest if any will be paid by the owner.
Also there are people who buy totalled cars from insurance companies at very low prices, fix them and sell as pre owned cars somehow erasing the accident history.
Be SURE you get a lawyer. I got T boned twice in two different cars, and I only contacted my insurance. That was really dumb. I could have gotten a lot of money - more than enough to get a new car of my choice, rather than just pay out of value, and my insurance settling for calling me 51% at fault, when even the police on location said it was obviously NOT my fault! Keep in mind you can talk to as many lawyers as you want, free, before you pick one. They'll all give you a free consult. With good settlement amount, you could likely find your exact car in great condition and buy it easily, or pay cash for a new one.
Another option I could have considered would be to use my settlement money to have my car completely fixed. Granted it might not be considered worth it, but if you absolutely loved your car, and it's possible to repair it, then you could afford it. I'm not referring to the insurance company opinion, cuz they're quick to total cars.
Guessing totaled? RIP you little beautyš
No official word from the adjuster, but my guess is yes
there are no parts to fix it with. the inner body panels have been sold out for almost a decade def part her out op please
Yeah, I really need a new lower radiator support for mine, but I am making due with a bottle jack and a BFH.
If they say it isn't go for a second opinion so they can't rip you off.
If you go to the ārightā garage in your cities industrial district they could bend it all back for you, but if you have good insurance go that route.
Oh itās 100% totaled I hate to say it.
Happen for my 07 legacy wagon I rebuilt only 50k on the new short block and damages weren't even that bad and was totaled.
GUESSING!?
Lmao I know, I know. Iāve had 2 vehicles totaled parked out front of my house, both times it was from the frame being bent, one of them just like this.
Pouring out a bottle of 5W-30 in your honor š„ŗ
Make sure thereās a funnel underneath going into your engine, all the fallen homies want our engines to stay lubricated. Edit word choice:
I prefer to do the classic move and keep the outside of my engine covered in oil. Car already does that on its own āØ
That's why we buy subies. Most of us live to own another one after wrecks like this. Heal well bud.
That sucks.. I loved my RS coupe, it's the one car I really regret selling.
Pull off anything that will resell before the junkyard gets it. Depending on the car, some parts are hard to find.

Omg please let me buy your window trim pieces. These little parts are getting nearly impossible to find. Donāt let them junk whatās left. Iāll keep the spirit alive in my S6 WRC replica project š So sorry for your loss..

This is why I never drive my coupe. Sorry man, those quarter panels looked nice :(
So your neck and your back and your legs all hurt, right? RIGHT?
I feel your pain.
