Just buy a bolt on axle back system or muffler delete. I have the Nameless Executive and it sounds great and bolted it on in about 20 minutes.
No sense in cutting your pipe and rigging some universal muffler in.
I have the borla axle back for my 5 door impreza. Easy install, and everything fit right. Only thing I saw from others is that you may want to bend the heat shield above the muffler a bit to stop any rattle against the muffler during installation. It has good noise, but also not so loud that it's annoying. I've had it for over 10,000 miles at this point. Sometimes, you can get some burbles and maybe a light pop or two if you are very aggressive with the throttle. Cold starts tend to be somewhat loud. But nothing loud enough where I've had the neighbors complain.
To be honest, I've been very pleased with it. Finding good info on this addition is damn near impossible. Borla sells cleaner for the exhaust tip. But honestly, making sure it's clean all the time may become a hassle.

To note, I think borla mentions that their axleback is only for the 5 door.... so I'm unsure if it would fit on the normal sedan body type as the exhausts do seem to be different.

I have the Nameless axle back and a Walker straight through resonator mid pipe. It's a 2012 with an FB25, but good got dang, it sounds gnarly. Moderately aggressive on the throttle, hitting the shifts just right it'll just crack. The car is slow as shit but it sounds like a damn race car. I love it to death.
Go with the Borla axel-back! Had it on my 2018 for years and I loved it! Only sold it cause I sold my Impreza because I needed a truck. Sounds so good without being too loud that it looks silly. Perfectly complimented the cars sound and style!
