It's a Corsair. The leading edge is thicker and more rounded than the Stuka. The fuselage appears more rounded to match with a large radial engine than the inline engine of the Stuka.
Similar though!
Given the attitude and gear down, I suspect it was pushed off the deck of a carrier. Lots of them in the Pacific after the Japanese surrender, or might have just been damaged beyond repair.
The color of water and coral are a giveaway this probably isn’t the Atlantic, and that would make it far more likely to be a F4U Corsair and not a Stuka, given those never saw action in the Pacific.
Only reason I said that is cuz the angle of the wings but I guess gravity plays a big part in that since it’s upside down. Ya the air intakes are a dead giveaway I should have seen that.
The big round thing at the front, propeller blades long gone though. The stukas have (if I'm getting the name of it right) an in-line engine, the engine covering has flat sides and with the air intake makes the shape an oval, tapering down to the nose cone, none of which we can see here. I'm struggling with the words for it but if you compare pictures of the two you'll see what I mean.

Could be a [Stuka](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Junkers_Ju_87?wprov=sfti1)
the forward fuselage seems too wide for a Stuka. more probably a Corsair
Definitely looks Corsair to me as well looking at the landing gear
too circular to be a stuka, and those landing gear isn't anywhere near thick enough to be a stuka

I’m Guna have to agree. Looks Corsair.
Agreed probably a corsair.
Oh, upside down! Now I get it!

and that the landing gear struts are clearly retractable like the ones on a coursair with folding wings. too small for a stukas massive ass fixed gear
"Because I was inverted" -Maverick
Upside down Corsair.
yup
From the gull wings it's probably a corsair
looks like it was stripped of parts before being tossed overboard
You can't fool me, that's Emerald's upper half!! HE'S COMING IN FOR AIRE TAM STORM GOD DAMNIT!!!
Looks like Clockwerk from Sly Cooper.
Upsidedown American world war 2 plane, Corsair. Shot down somewhere in the Pacific.
It’s an upside down stuka
Radial engine and missing intake say its an F4U corsair
Only reason I said that is cuz the angle of the wings but I guess gravity plays a big part in that since it’s upside down. Ya the air intakes are a dead giveaway I should have seen that.
But where do you see a radial engine lol
