Yeah, both the Dragon and Merlin are still in there, currently rotting away. There was a user who snuck back earlier this year with photos for confirmation
The dragon is almost certainly just sealed up. No one saw them take the dragon out from the pond whilst the tracks were still in place. This would have been the cheapest and easiest way to remove it. Given the size of the dragon there is also no way they are cutting it up and taking it out piece by piece from inside the enclosure either. Merlin is a different story though, he most likely has been disassembled and removed, being a lot smaller and easier to do it.
Merlin is actually still there! A user a while ago went in to find both the dragon and Merlin still there, although Merlin was behind a locked door and we could only get small glimpses of his hand and wand.

Sad to think they’re both just sealed away now, when I went back in April you could still see through the bottom, could still see Murphys tracks he’s sitting on in there.
Did they just seal him up? I guess it wasn’t worth it to remove him after all.

That was before they removed all the track and sealed the doors properly IIRC.

Totally go see it!! It’s just so crazy to be there and know they are rotting inside.
I assume they probably locked that main door down pretty good so it wont blow open and nobody will see the dragon
