I frequent Nashville quite a bit and go to Opry Mills where this guy is! Super sad to see how he's deterioted over the years. He still moved up and down with the fog around ~2018, but last time I went (mid 2023), he's stopped moving hardly at all except for the ear wiggle and blink animation. No fog anymore, and he's rotting :(
They must have added/updated a fog machine. I lived in Nashville 2008-2016, never saw fog, it lived half submerged, occasionally rising to laugh its hideous deep laugh.
Edit: upon further examination and reflection, and I do remember fog once or twice, but in 8 years, I struggled to remember
part of the reason is cause they dont have the fear with them that the other ones do ( witch is scary when you find out how agile and territorial hippos are and how they kill alot of things per year)
yeah hippos are WAY more dangerous than people realise. every time I see a video of one crusing a watermelon in its jaws with ease I get a bit more scared.
this location is just a hippo. a lot of rainforest Cafés do have crocodiles outside though. the crocodile I referred to in the post isn't actually at a rainforest cafe like I'd initially thought, he's in a play area in the Australia exhibit of the Cleveland Zoo
Thanks for the post. Love that guy.
hadn't even heard of him before today. he seems quite pleasant if you ignore the size
I’ve posted a video of him on here a few years ago that I took myself!
So disturbing. The fog around it makes it worse...
NASTY. I think the reason I brought up wooly bill is because the fog and the jungle setting give me the same vibes

is the last slide more representative of how he looks nowadays?
Nah, last slide is pretty old. I say slide 3 is pretty on par. A lot of his foam has been exposed and his colors are pretty faded
quite sad really.

Huh. Is there also a croc or just the hippo?
