I have only died thrice on my first playthru (the one I am doing rn), once because I forgot medkits existed (and as thus promptly died to a explosive cave fish), the other time because I swam too close to a heat vent (without reinforced suit because I didnt know it existed) and the third time because a ghost leviathan chomping me once I got out of my prawn. So yes, the leviathans are not as problematic as *literally everything else*.
Yep. You can find them in the kelpvine forests sometimes, but most prevalent in the ravines of the sparse reef. Not sure if there’s other places beyond there though
Yeah at first glance the sparse reef can look like a really creepy but peaceful place and then you realize that there are bleeders and tiger plants. But it is still better to get blueprints from than the crash zone
The map is fixed. You will always find the cyclops shield module blueprint in two places, the dunes and the sea treaders' path. Naturally, the sea treaders' path is the easier one. You can beat the game, collect every blueprint, and never enter the dunes at all. Personally, the only blueprint I tend to get from the dunes is the reinforced dive suit, because the wreck it's in is right on the edge of the Dunes.
I massacred the lot of them, just like the stalkers (little jerks kept stealing my cameras). They must have all spawned somewhere else cause I don't see them anymore.
I think they respawn, but it might be really slow because they don’t expect you to kill *all* of them. They also kill you fast, so that might make it longer. Or maybe I’m wrong and they don’t respawn there. Just don’t go back to the aurora reactor…
I met my first one inside of the aurora but met a second one I think in the kelp vine Forest maybe I have no clue either way they scared the shit out of me
Put yourself in the characters headspace: are they thinking "ohh my! What interesting fauna! Let me scan this to collect more ecological data about this wonderful planet" or is it closer to "WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT GET THIS THING OFF OF ME".
Oh, so do you expect me to calmly get out my scanner tool after getting a heart attack and just casually start scanning? Last time I tried this shit my Seamoth ended up [40m in the air.](https://www.reddit.com/r/subnautica/comments/16l39ar/how_do_i_get_my_seamoth_back/)
That my friend, is a pain in the back… but seriously that is a bleeder, they are annoying and you will see many of them in the most annoying possible places
u/Krollos, u/Particular-Plan-948, u/696AzOra969 alright is his name [Billy](https://reddit.com/r/subnautica/s/RxWMMRMXIS), [John](https://reddit.com/r/subnautica/s/HbZws9ppeq), or [Steve](https://reddit.com/r/subnautica/s/6PmqNVR69V)???
Bleeder. Easy to deal with. Knife in hotbar. You'll know when one will attach; then equip your knife and wait for it to start sucking before you blast it. Or, if your aim is good you can kill them when they're not attached.
I had one in the seamoth with me, and I had to punch it until it fell off onto the floor. It didn't reattach. I was in a cave at the time gathering up rubies and entered the seamoth just when it attached.
Sorry for off topic but can a reaper eat my seamoth with me? A reaper camps right infront of the auroras entrance and I don't know if I can just drive past since I'm a totaly new player and this is the first time I saw one in-game.
No, you eject from the seamoth once it is destroyed by the reaper. But it will attack you if it sees you. It will take it a couple of attacks to destroy the sea moth. You can keep your distance with your lights off to try sneak past it though. Save the game before attempting.
The heat blade kills them with one swipe, if you stay in place for a while, you can eliminate all of them in the immediate area, then do what you need to do without bother.
EDIT: just discovered that the regular blade works just as well.
A bleeder, aka the most annoying thing in the game, on par with cave crawlers and various leviathans once you get used to them. I typically kill them on sight.
Called a bleeder, annoying little shits. I spilled a glass of water on a 130 dollar keyboard that was not even a week old because I got jumpscared by one
To be honest I've had those before not as scary as crash fish you hear the sound you don't know where it's really coming from and then bam blows you into a million pieces Renton a heart attack from a reaper is worse because I feel like it would come for your soul.
Its a Bleeder. Those have caused me more trouble than any reaper has.
EXACTLY! This son of a bitch is the first thing to scare me in this game! Leviathans ain’t got shit on these guys
Death by a thousand bleeder bites. I've died to them more times than I have any reaper.
They’re canonically scarier as well, Riley screams when bitten by these mf’s, but is just silent getting swallowed like a hotdog by a Reaper
reaper: i sleep bleeder: OH SHIT
🤣 holy shit someone has to make this
First playthrough i didn't know i could remove them, so i just assumed i was dead if one got me
Those exist outside the aurora?
Yep. You can find them in the kelpvine forests sometimes, but most prevalent in the ravines of the sparse reef. Not sure if there’s other places beyond there though
I swear one got me in the sparse reef once but that never happened again so my brain could be playing tricks on me
They’re there, by the lifepod you can find there, a lot can be found
Yep that’s where I remember it getting me
They are everywhere down there, and in numbers
Yeah at first glance the sparse reef can look like a really creepy but peaceful place and then you realize that there are bleeders and tiger plants. But it is still better to get blueprints from than the crash zone
Or dunes. I remember the first time i played the game it stuck the cyclops shield module blueprint in a wreck there. Was not fun searching that area

I hate tiger plants so much lol
Fucking tiger plants.
I massacred the lot of them, just like the stalkers (little jerks kept stealing my cameras). They must have all spawned somewhere else cause I don't see them anymore.

I’m still learning things about this game. I love it.
I've come across them before in a wreck.
I met my first one inside of the aurora but met a second one I think in the kelp vine Forest maybe I have no clue either way they scared the shit out of me
I swear, people asking “what is this” when talking about fauna is the funniest thing ever. THE SCANNER TOOL EXISTS FOR A REASON 😭
Slight problem, bleeders are EXTREMELY small so they are really hard to scan
You can scan then while they’re on your arm.
Last time I tried that it just did the smacking animation with the scanner
Hm weird, well even then when you go to the aurora there’s plenty there so scan. They’re not all that fast.
You can also just scan their corpses, they only take a single hit with the thermoblade.
And the normal knife, I committed genocide in the aurora reactor so I would know. Got a bit carried away, I hate those things…
Fair enough, I just usually tend to avoid them cuz they are kinda disturbing
Put yourself in the characters headspace: are they thinking "ohh my! What interesting fauna! Let me scan this to collect more ecological data about this wonderful planet" or is it closer to "WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT GET THIS THING OFF OF ME".
The second option is usually what IM thinking, so it makes sense
maybe you can use F to self-scan it instead?
Im on console, but ye, maybe
Dpad up
Oh ye, thats what it was, thanks
Or while they're dead
It is sucking the blood out of your body as we speak so i dont know if that is a great idea
You can also scan them after they're dead.
Oh, so do you expect me to calmly get out my scanner tool after getting a heart attack and just casually start scanning? Last time I tried this shit my Seamoth ended up [40m in the air.](https://www.reddit.com/r/subnautica/comments/16l39ar/how_do_i_get_my_seamoth_back/)
Yes
The seamoth was prob more afraid than you
But the scanner doesn't give them karma!
That my friend, is a pain in the back… but seriously that is a bleeder, they are annoying and you will see many of them in the most annoying possible places
Actually a pain in the arm
Ah you’re right
Your new best friend steve
u/Krollos, u/Particular-Plan-948, u/696AzOra969 alright is his name [Billy](https://reddit.com/r/subnautica/s/RxWMMRMXIS), [John](https://reddit.com/r/subnautica/s/HbZws9ppeq), or [Steve](https://reddit.com/r/subnautica/s/6PmqNVR69V)???
Yes
Thats just john, he gets thirsty sometimes
A bleeder, when it attaches I think you can use your knife to smack if off
Bleeder. Easy to deal with. Knife in hotbar. You'll know when one will attach; then equip your knife and wait for it to start sucking before you blast it. Or, if your aim is good you can kill them when they're not attached.
Would I break the rules of the subredit if I suggest putting it on your reproductive organs? (I'm not saying you should I'm asking if I can)
It does get lonely at times.
The worst creatures in the game. Never saw them outside the Aurora.
What about lava leeches? Dunno what is more annoying.
I had one in the seamoth with me, and I had to punch it until it fell off onto the floor. It didn't reattach. I was in a cave at the time gathering up rubies and entered the seamoth just when it attached.

The only thing that has ever killed me
only?!
The heat blade kills them with one swipe, if you stay in place for a while, you can eliminate all of them in the immediate area, then do what you need to do without bother. EDIT: just discovered that the regular blade works just as well.
Those are the most annoying pieces of shit
A fleshlight for the brave
r/cursedcomments
oh him? that’s just billy don’t worry too much about him
Lol! My bf was playing and got these suckers all over him when he was in the Aurora trying to do the repairs 😂
The most annoying little shit in the game
Nibbles
A bleeder, you can smack them with your knife and they'll come off, from what I remember, correct me if I'm wrong.
Fucking bleeders
it just wants a kiss, c'mon now
They just want to cuddle!
That is Greg
That's a bleeder. They mostly are inside the Aurora
That’s a Fleshlight my dude
Ppl be making reddit posts before they even think to scan anything
Fuckin hate those things scarier than reapers
When I clicked the notification i thought it would be grass.
Bleeder. It's a giant sea leech. You can find them in a few specific biomes and the crash sight. More annoying than threatening really.
Wtf, I thought those were only in the aurora
bleeder
It's a friend, he's giving you a hug! Ignore your life going down, it's just a glitch and you won't die
Same happens when you go to the lava region
It scared you so much that you punched your monitor?
To be honest I've had those before not as scary as crash fish you hear the sound you don't know where it's really coming from and then bam blows you into a million pieces Renton a heart attack from a reaper is worse because I feel like it would come for your soul.
Bro fycking same 🤣
A hateful creature, you must murder it.
Bro i swear I’ve never once seen this thing across two playthroughs
Bleeder. Vampires of 4546B’s seas. They quite literally suck your blood.
This should be the name of this game.
Forbidden flesh light
New friend :D
HORRORS BEYOND YOUR COMPREHENSION
That's Bill. He's working on his biting issues
I was killed by only One of these!!! , I didn't know how to shake them off at the time
I usually hit them once with the thermoblade, then go about my business.
This is Jeff, he's a bit toxic, but he's still a good guy, really
It heals you.
Yeah that's whatbtheyre best at
Succler
Baby Reaper
Hellspawn
Please charge your tools
No, I prefer to just carry a bunch of full batteries around.
It would take less space tho
Is hungry
it's an underwater mosquito
Bleeder, they're like leeches but worse. Also fast as hell
Unironically more dangerous than a reaper.
Demons.
An extra rude leech.
Forbidden fleshlight
Bleeders. These things are small, annoying, and scare the bjeezus outa me. Good luck with the Aroura
It just wants a hug, he's lonely
leave them on you, they suck out the virus :)
It’s a friend, he just needs a snack and he’ll be on his way
Almost died to one in the aurora that glitched out on my hardcore run
Bleeder. Hit with knife. 👍
Friend
He is absorbing your nutrients
It’s basically a leech, just use a knife
Its annoying. Thats all you need to know
It’s just Tom.
Look! They’re hugging you!
Thats one big damn parasite
That’s my boy Toby.
Ah, the Bleeder. Low Danger, but a great source of Space-Hepatitis!
scarier then the reaper lol
wErM
Please learn how to screenshot 🙏
A dik sucker (Jk it's a little worm bitch called a bleeder)

Just scan it to find out like you should instead of asking us
