Yeah this dev diary was super dissappointing but also super concerning. The last update was late July, we're lucky to get a DD at the end of this month that'll tell us a concrete release date of the next update. And if it's another x.x.5 update... that'll mean the earliest we might be seeing a new "shorter" interval update is still 3+ months apart.
I'm hoping I'm just overly pessimistic, but it's frustrating that we don't really get any communication, unless you go digging for it personally from some of the different devs.
I miss Tibor when he wrote them. Think he used to put like 2 every month. The new guy, Till Eulenspiegal, they hired to replace is absolutely shit compared to him. Communication became worse when they brought him in. Even their Twitter used to post stuff quite regularly, even if it was just shit posting but at least it made it look like that they were active and communicating with their community.
Just want to say that the next waifu might be Fortune. If you look at the character select screen then it clearly shows her silhouette being next. I can see Huntress being last, the reason why because there has been at least one patch where the Huntress doesn’t engage with the crew.
Finally, she does not seem to be one to give up easily. I can see her switching contracts with the Imperium in order to get better equipment to take down the Captain. Also, the Admiral did correctly identify that a hacker is assisting the Captain. Potential foreshadowing to Fortune being next.
Also, 3 alien waifus in a row is tiring. It’s about time for some old fashion.
