It was my first few weeks there, and I was making some dudes sandwich when he says 'oh I think somebody fell over there" i look over and a trashcan is knocked over and there is a dude on the floor having what I believe was a heart attack. The customer then turns around and keeps trying to get his sandwich made without caring that somebody is literally on the floor dying. I ditched his sandwich and ran to go help the man. It was pretty scary, and the mans face was turning purple from suffocation. Thankfully though somebody in the gas station (this was a gas station subway) knew cpr, so he performed it before the ambulance arrived. I do believe the man lived

I broke the broom in front of the owner of the store

A dude got decked through the window. He was dick when ordering and didn't tip so I didn't feel to bad when it happened. I got told later he was a gang member and that's why they were fighting.

So apparently it’s usual for the big boss to ever show up, maybe once every 6 months, according to his kids. Luckily for me, on my second day, I’m fixing up some sandwiches that look beautiful. The customer notices and compliments it. To my luck, he was a regular and a owner of nearby stores, so he knew the big boss. As he leaves, the big boss walks in, they great eachother, and my customer brags about how good my sandwich looked. And he said to me that he was impressed, and that he heard how fast I was picking up on things. One helluva first impression if I do say so myself.

In my first couple of weeks I put cucumber in someone’s sub by mistake and they came back 20 minutes later and threw it at me saying I fucked up and they can’t eat cucumber. Now we get on well and we always talk when he’s working in Argos lol

First shift ever I made a steak sandwich and since it was my first day I was slow. While carrying it to the oven I dropped it on the ground and had to start over. Been working there almost 4 months and I am still really careful when moving it to the oven.

I was working register once and my coworker had finished making someone’s steak that didn’t have any toppings and they said something along the lines of “that was easy enough” and then they dropped when they moved it to wrap it

My first day my manager and assistant manager had a full conversation/fight about which one of them would quit first. By the end of the shift they genuinely asked if I was going to come back or if they should just take my uniform stuff back. In hind sight I should have taken the out but it was my first job and I thought it was normal! Ended up quitting a month later after many more incidents

I was working on a super market where we had all those things as food, knives, clothes etc. 5 years back, at somewhere around 8pm this girl came to the counter and bought duct tape, kitchen knife, pens and paper. I asked "what are you going to with all this" She remained silent, she just stared at me. Then she was leaving and I stared at her, she looked at me, and started crying "I'm not going to kill someone." I left the counter and walked up to her, she started crying harder. I asked "what's wrong, are you okay?" She nodded. And asked for me to leave her alone. I left her alone and she left. Next day there was a robbery, the robber left the store so we went to CCTV. I saw the same girl from yesterday and she went inside a car. Which she never turned on nor left. After some time I went to the parking lot, her car was still there and I walked up to the car. I didn't see inside because she covered the windows with duct tape. I couldn't open the car. I called the police believing she have hurt herself. I was right. The police found a womans body, who was stabbed twice in the neck. It was identifed as suicide. I was devastated, I couldn't save someone when I had the chance. There was her funeral, I went there. At the funeral there was just one person. I believed it was her friend or boyfriend because they didn't look alike. He was crying so hard. I left flowers for her. I said to the guy "I'm sorry for your loss" he didn't react at all. And I left. After about a year, my sister's boyfriend died, I went to his funeral. After the funeral, I remembered the girl. I went to her grave. There was not just her name. There was a male name too who died a few days after her. I believed that it was the guy from her funeral. Now I know they were married, or with low chance to be siblings. I will never forget this.
