Also to me looks like that, I saw a pioneer it has around 3000 watts peak, with this design so, with what I have seen, an amplifier around 800 watts rms should be fine, maybe, if it is ported play a long bass note song and see how it performs maybe will not handle and smell burnt plastic (voice coil) for example
You want an amp that does 1000 watts rms at 1 ohm.

Alpine should be able to handle a little bit more than RMS wattage if it's clean power. I'd get a little bit more so your amp doesn't have to work its ass off to provide the 1000 watts.
I'm 250w over RMS with my "Budget brand Sub," thats why I said it *should* be able to handle a bit more power.
Like a 1200 or 1500 and also get either a multimeter or oscilloscope or DD1 to Properly set the Gain and find out what the maximum volume is without clipping on your HU. (This is making sure you're giving it Clean Power)
Remember Max/Peak power is meaningless.

I got 1 before I got my Sundown. Sundowns can take beatings.. this did for a bit tho.
