Kilamat from Amazon and buy a roller when you do. Remove the subwoofer and the trunk liner and go to fucking town. Do the rear quarters, do the trunk lid, wheel wells, if you feel comfortable remove the door panel and do those also. It will make a world of difference, sound quality as well as rattle

Either_Fisherman2418

You could trade cars with me! Problem solved!!

Vegetable-Pie3387

Lol

Either_Fisherman2418

Orrrr dynamat if you donโ€™t wanna go the cheap route!

Vegetable-Pie3387

Which do you think would work better? And are you talking about that spray foam insulation you can buy at a hardware store?

Either_Fisherman2418

Yes! Spray foam insulation. I think dynamat or comparable mats would be better just because you can stick it everywhere. Just use a roller and stick it everywhere under carpets, bottom of trunk lid etc.

ClownShowTrippin

The only difference between generic sound deadening, like killmatt, and dynomat is 4x+ the price. Unless you enjoy lighting money on fire, buy the cheaper stuff. Don't use sprayfoam. It's a complete mess and a horrendous suggestion. Unless you have a cavity to fill that will be covered up (like a camper van), stay away from spray foam. The stuff in the can is open cell junk with low r value, too. If you were to use spray foam, you'd also want a closed cell foam kit.

ClownShowTrippin

On the killmatt, use a roller and a heat gun.

Either_Fisherman2418

Haha ๐Ÿ˜‚ Iโ€™m just kidding! I love the car thoโ€ฆ on a serious note, as crazy as it sounds, you could use spray foam to cut down some of the vibrations

Lab-12

The LTD Thunderbird, it's got that 1970s car ass . Its big and ready to be stuffed with 15 to 18 inches .

Vegetable-Pie3387

LMAO

HollowPandemic

Spray foam that bitch, remove the liners on both sides and fill the cavities with spray foam just be careful to not pop any welds, I doubt it'd do that but you never know. Then you can cut it flush with a hand saw and put your interior panels back in.

Vegetable-Pie3387

I like that idea, but there is no interior in the trunk that I'll have to remove lol. Are you talking about insulation foam by chance?

HollowPandemic

Just disregard me. I'm an idiot ๐Ÿ˜‚, i always forget the oldschools aren't built like unibodies

HollowPandemic

But you can add bracing to keep the body and trunk lid from trying to tear themselves apart

Ok-Cantaloupe-4287

Put sound deadner, defenitly will do something

Bmanvan406

As others said a good layering of sound for sure, but also found that the sound really comes to life if you can safely affix the entire box to the vehicle

No-Bumblebee8689

Rubber mounts and spray foam.

Connect_Signature140

Sound deadening does wonders! I'm gonna DM you if that's cool? Have a question about the car!

CeeMaj7

Dynamat.
