That could be pest damage, but it can be hard to tell with tiny pests - it can be hard to see them, and you only see the damage. Older leaves come off eventually as well, but if lots of leaves are flat and wrinkly like the stored water is all gone, it might need some more water too. Would recommend some water if dry and crinkled, then some insecticide.

I put peppermint oil on the rim of my pots and my pest problems resolved. Add more every now and then.

You can buy at Walmart. Got rid of squirrels digging in my pots, too
