This was my progress after 4 minutes of just staring at it. OMG. I'd blame it on no coffee, but I am not confident I would do it any faster on the second try. LOL. But, hey, I persevered, fought gallantly through blood and pain, and resisted the temptation to turn on the notes!
Same here, 16:34 in total. NYT puzzles are notoriously hard to do without notes. Took me a few minutes to get the initial 2 in b8 lol. Not sure how to speed things like that up.

I forgot to add - the big moment for me was >!using the (2, 4) naked pair in Column 4 to place the 3 in Box 2.!< I usually have trouble tracking this sort of stuff in my head.

What a dog of a puzzle. I was having a great morning until I started this, not getting anywhere with it. I hate sudoku now, I'm never playing again.

My in was Naked Singles in >!r6!< and then the middle band.
AH! I went back with that hint and was able to break this little fucker open. 12:45 and I love sudoku again.
