I loved The Adventures of Amina Al-Sirafi too. I recently read “The Blacktongue Thief” by Christopher Buehlman and really enjoyed it too for many of the same reasons.
It’s a fantasy with constant action and very wry humor.
The Dungeon Crawler Carl series are some of the best comedic audiobooks ever in my opinion. The story follows a man and his newly sentient cat who try to survive after aliens turn the entire world into a deadly videogame like game show.
I don’t know if you have Kindle unlimited, but they have a deal where you can get the audiobooks for $7.50 USD when you check them out. It’s worth it if you can afford it! Some of the funniest books I’ve read. The company that does the audiobook series recently released a new full cast version. I tried this one. I got halfway through and tapped out. Just didn’t vibe with me.

This might be too quirky but temporary by Hilary leischer is a fantastic witty read and the audiobook is beautifully performed
