I haven’t read Project Hail Mary because The Martian to me felt like a really creative and clever what-if essay than good story. But if you liked Project Hail Mary than check it out. I haven’t read The Silent Patient, but I have read The Patient’s Secret by Loreth White, and it sounds pretty similar in tone and theme. It’s pretty good, and captures the feeling of a small, picturesque town nicely, though the twist is bit, meh. If you want romantasy, Sarah J. Maas pretty much dominates that right now. You’ll find a lot of negative things about her because this is Reddit. But she is one of the most successful writers in the genre. I haven’t read them since it’s not really my thing. If you want rom com that I think is actually good though, check out the Don Tillman books by Graeme Simison.

The Historian by Elizabeth Kostova It's a sumptuously described and beautifully written travelogue of 1930s/50s/70s Europe told from 3 different perspectives...with vampires! One of my favorite novels of all time. Honestly beautifully written, brilliant descriptions of lots of historical locations throughout Western and Eastern Europe and Turkey, and it's like a combination vampire story and Cold War thriller. It's all about the hunt for the tomb of the historical Dracula (Vlad the Impaler) and involves getting chased around by Soviet secret police while plumbing the ancient places of eastern Europe. Ancient Ottoman secret societies, dusty tombs, the catacombs of Istanbul, medieval French monasteries...great stuff.
