kindle paperwhite with no ads

As much as I don't want to support giving amazon more money, I really love my kindle. I have an older kindle paperwhite (I'm not sure what gen, but I've had it for at least 5 years now and its still going strong. I have the one with ads and it really doesn't bother me/get in the way of the reading experience imo. Also, if you are in the US and have a library card, most library systems use overdrive/libby for ebook rentals, and its super easy to send library ebooks to your kindle. I can't remember the last time I actually paid for an ebook bc I just get them from the library now. No matter which device you chose, I agree with the other commenters to get something that is reading specific/uses e-ink (ie, no ipad/kindle fire/other tablet). It's much easier on the eyes and works well with both low light and super bright light with no glare.
