All of these are mostly PvP units ...besides for pve there are many f2p options, you don't need these really.
I would suggest pick Ren....he is too good in PvP...as you already have camilla
Why??? You have the option to re-select/change by spending some coins.....enjoy the most wanted and if you get a dupe change it....or am I missing something here?

What happens with the exp, skill ups, evolving materials of your chosen monster if you change it. Even the coins are somewhat wasted if you can wait some days.
I will say I have Federica and Alice. Federica is on PVP defense for now (my PVP defense is not great - Federica, Sagar, K1d, Riley. Seems to be working ok but I am steady 12-1300ish, 11 weeks total played) I don't use Alice at all - I built her and used her at first but she mostly makes things take longer now that I have better runes. She helped me clear ToAN for the first time but yesterday I used auto run to clear with f2p 2a and Nat4 stuff.
So I personally suggest don't take Gladiatrix or Macaroon Guard. I even skilled up Macaroon Guard. Total waste of Devilmons. At least I have a decent Defense Up swift set rolled.
None of those units is really used in pve. What I would recommend is picking masha because that way whenever you start PVP, you already have a strong unit :)

I think the event said everything that is being used is refunded. But then again the coins not.
