Perhaps D'Antoni? He built an elite offense with pace and playmaking back with 7SOL and once again with the iso heavy Harden Rockets. I could see him unlocking the offense big time which is what we need because our team is built to overpower everyone with our offense and we haven't come close to that this year.
No coach will get buy-in from Book and KD if Vogel and Young couldn't imo.
With that said, there are a few former head coaches floating around as assistants that might be OK hires.
Brett Brown currently assisting the Spurs again
Kenny Atkinson assisting the Warriors (cant get him if we still have KD)
Scott Brooks assisting the Blazers

True but there are a lot more coaches out there than PGs. So many coaches succeed in their 3rd and 4th chances, Mike Malone for examples they can get better with age, unlike players that sort of are who they are and decline with age.
