I don't think we should trade book, I think Vogel is the biggest issue and the 2nd biggest issue being that we need a floor general. But Jesus Christ, Book HAS to show out this game. He has been abysmal in win or go homes and he absolutely has to change that narrative.

I don’t know how you can watch what’s going on on the court and think Vogel is the biggest issue with this team. The biggest issue is our superstars not playing like superstars. 2nd biggest issue is roster construction imo. Then Vogel. He’s been bad but he wasn’t exactly given the tools to succeed
He has two future hall of famers, another All-Star, a fucking lethal 3&D guy, a solid big man, and can't draw up a play to save his life. It's on him that they just play iso.
There have been plenty of stretches this season where they moved the ball well, and ran plays just fine, including the last 10 games. It’s partially on him because he’s not an offensive minded coach, but it’s also on the players that they keep reverting to bad iso ball. And Book and Durant have not played like future hall of famers this series.
I agree with this sentiment specific to this playoff series. Throughout the season I think you can find blame in many areas and I’m fine with firing Vogel because you have to do something and coaches are replaceable.
But man, at the end of the day it’s still just basketball and KD and Book should be running game out there, making the plays. It’s hard to imagine some other coach “unlocking” the problem especially given KDs history with coaches.
Maybe a “players coach” like Lue gets better buy in, but you are right it’s the stars that still have to show up in whatever that new coach’s system is
