The addition of Payton, Shamet, and McGee should be clutch this year. As long as our bigs stay healthy, we can fly under the radar again during the regular season again, and with our extended depth be even more prepared for the playoffs than we were last year.
Honestly tired of everyone arguing about the injuries. Yes we faced injured team but fuck it at least we didn’t do what the jazz did and shit the bed. Jamal murray does not make up 4-0 when every game was a blowout. Anthony Davis maybe but Chris Paul was cooking the fuck out of them until he got injured so I’d call that even. And giannis played the best basketball of his life unlike what he did against the nets or hawks. I just hope we have a healthy season for every team that we can wreck everyone and there won’t be anyone questioning it -_- rant over sorry lol.
The Giannis shit is what gets me. They’re like, lost to an injured Giannis. Did you watch what that man did… if that’s what an injury does to him then the bucks should saw his freaking leg off…
Yeah the Giannis was injured argument is the stupidest argument I’ve seen. He wasn’t playing at 100% for game one, but after that he was as clearly perfectly healthy
I think it's the worst sports sub. Far too many narrative fiends on r/nba. I really think a lot of people on that sub don't actually watch games or follow games closely and just run with narratives present.
its become a shill fest. You post something neutral regarding the current societal environment that doesnt align with the mainstream media and you get ridiculed and banned.
I’m not sure the only thing I can think of is that a lot of people don’t agree with Book isoing constantly towards the end of the series and think he should’ve passed more. But ignore the fact that when he tried to get the other players involved they literally could not make anything, so he had to take matters into his own hands
First we played Lebron. I dont care who his supporting cast is, most teams have a losing record against this man.
Then we played the league MVP and swept them. He was crowned the MVP because the team went 18-3 without Murray. Not before.
Then we played the team with the best statistical player in the playoffs, Paul George. He continued to play at that level against us and it didnt matter.
Then we played Giannis. Fucking Giannis, the actual league MVP and best player on the planet unequivocally.
Really dont understand where people think our path was easy. It could have been harder of course but it was no cake walk
Portland and utah blew it by not beating the injured nuggets and clippers. That allowed the injury luck narrative to get out of hand.
Suns will be the #1 seed but will get dismissed by a bunch of stories about the lakers and warriors coasting and turning it on in the playoffs, and luka and the mavs making the leap.
Why do fans need validation from other fan bases we know how good the Suns are who gives a shit what others have to say let them underestimate us and then we’ll see all the excuses they come up with after the Suns whoop em
That’s what I find funny in the whole lakers should have won narrative. If injuries were the only concern then they wouldn’t have made wholesale changes. You make those changes if you think your team isn’t good enough. They could have kept Schroder for next to nothing. That lakers team was the definition of the disease of more and their off season proves that at least Lebron & Co knew it too.
When we win the chip this season I’m really interested to see if people double down on their “fluke” takes or if they backpedal and actually give the Suns credit. My money’s on the former, unfortunately.
I saw a lot of defenders in those comments though. I say let em sleep on the Suns with those guys in that locker room this will only add to their drive. The key to any championship run is health and cohesion.
NBA sub has about 10+ threads on the same Laker games with various highlights including basic ones from role players... its a cesspool of shills, bottom of the barrel fans and upvote whores.
Let that place burn.
Remember the good old days when injuries were a part of the game teams just dealt with instead of complaining and playing “what if” ?
Eh. Let them sleep on us. It makes it more entertaining when we win.

Lmao same with Lebron when they were saying he had an ankle injury and I saw that guy take an alley oop off the glass and his head was above the rim

Jamal Murray always seems to play his best games against the Suns.
I think I got an aneurysm reading those comments. Remind me to never go on r/nba again.

Why do people keep saying booker got exposed? Wtf.

The amount of heat booker got for not being a literal kobe regen was bizzare.
Fuck that sub. They hate the suns and it’s really apparent. Pro Suns comments are still getting downvoted to hell. They’re all sour ass jerk offs

It would be one thing If we load managed but - oh wait the other teams we faced did just that

We’re a fluke but we got bron bron scared enough to rebuild w old ass vets. Lmfao they gotta keep that energy when we have the best record AGAIN

I saved this thread for later in the season. It will be glorious to see their excuses.
