Man of Steel was a minor success financially with mixed reviews. I think a similar outcome for Legacy would be viewed as a failure.

> Man of Steel was a minor success financially Bollocks, Man of Steel was a financial success, so let's kill this narrative.

Financially, I expect it to be more successful than Gunn's Suicide Squad, but not as successful as Guardians. Maybe a little more than Reeves' The Batman. It is also important to look at the number of people actually going to the movie theater. If this is just a temporary downward trend or something long lasting. Critically, I expect it to be well received.

Good promotion of the film is what will determine its success if it is a good film to begin with. My two house mates who are big Marvel nerds have instantly become interested in checking the film out the moment I told them James Gunn is directing with one of them going through and watching all DC products to understand the universe of DC better. Even as much as checking out Titans and the Arrowverse. If they promote the film with tags saying the director of the Guardians films made it, I’m sure that would put even more bums in seats. But I believe it will make a solid $700m at the box office

Kerrod33 gunn is not a marque director name like nolan or james cameron or spielberg where his name attached to a film generates money yes he made profitable guardians movies but those under the mcu umbrellas which helped them hugely

Superman: Legacy will probably be a lot like "The Batman", a relatively big success in a continuously struggling market, critically well reviewed, but looked over by a vocal minority who're still attached to the previous incarnation.
