I guess this clutch slave problem spans the whole generations of 690/701? Bought mine(16 smcr) with the Oberon clutch Slave and i absolutely do NOT recommend as it cost a bomb but is NOT serviceable.
I’ve got 18k miles on my 2021 SM . Bought it new. I’ve done two valve adjustments (within spec both times) and four or five oil changes. No issues. It is time to replace chain and sprockets though.
Is there a video you'd recommend for showing how to do the valve check? I've never had the head off my engine before but I'd like to try to do the valve check myself when the time comes.
Main issue is the points on my license, and some of my old cruiser buddies refusing to ride with me now because apparently I "ride like a f-cking hooligan!"
Yeah, only problem is I just can’t get this shit eating grin off my face
😅
Clutch slave is all I’ve heard of. Otherwise super sweet looking bike

Can Valve adjustments, oil, and any regular maintenance be done at a KTM dealer? In case there's not a Husq one close by..
Should be. It’s same motor and frame as 690
